Sync rF2 Forum with rF2 account

Question of the more paranoide nature: rf2 account email adress and password required for syncing. where is this stored? outside the forum/website or within?

 

It's not stored at all. You're being sent to the launcher's access point.

 

Seems like I can't sync. When I hit the link in my profile and see the login form and enter my E-Mail and password, nothing happens.
All I can do is to hit "Return to isiforums.net" afterwards and the browser takes me back to my profile page.

EDIT:
It's not an issue with the umlaut in my last name, is it?
It wouldn't be the first time I run into problems because of my "ö", hehe. Even had to deal with issues because of that in a project I worked on myself.

I wondered the point of it for a while. I just clicked to sync, dunno if it's worked lol.

If it's the Unique ID in the *.plr, that is.

 

Seems to be case sensitive, I have same name here and as rFactor nickname, but I save shift key at times, it has something wrong with it, sometimes I need to punch it so that there is loud *CRUNCH* and it works some days after that

I know from vast experience with this issue.

 

Jonathon fixed the issue with foreign letters in the forum username.
I was finally able to sync! Yeah!

Sorry for necro, I'm getting a 404 when trying to "Sync Forum with rFactor2". Another casualty of the DNS change perhaps?
