Did you remember to turn AA off in-game and in the display driver settings?

too bad i don't have android phone i would ask you for your plugin ;)

I just found out that i was setting it up with clear sky and it looks ok with that weather but with clouds it doesn't look good anymore. You would have to change it all the time with weather changes...

Have mainly worked on desaturation and a little more of exposure.

That desaturation looks pretty nice, would you mind posting your settings?

CAUTION: to make the plugin work, DISABLE the AntiAliasing in Game Config!

I have actually worked it over once again, unzip in your rfactor2 folder:
    http://gniewko.ayz.pl/priv/fxaa/fxaa.zip

Please use no editor, as it will change your desaturate settings to -0.6, as I edited manually to -0.9

This is what makes rfactor so awesome. You can do stuff like this, I don't like it but that's not the point.

Mmmyeah, though in this case the FXAA injector used is pretty universal, you'd probably be able to get it running in most games.

The outside environment lighting definitely looks more real imo, if the final product still has that cartoon colour sheen about it I'll be adding this one to my RF2 for sure.

    Nicely done, cheers.

Gniewko, didnt have time to test your setting, will try them later. You could probably use bloom in injector with in game hdr, because if im right hdr in game doesnt use bloom at this moment (in dev mode in PostFX menu bloom is off). But problem with bloom is that it looks great with clear sky but makes clouds super bright & unnatural.

    Hi,

Great work so far. The Lightning is definately great!
I just got some problems with far away objects like the hotels and stuff. It seems flickering a bit for me, might be cause of the disabled antialiasing? Any setting i miss here? I just installed into rfactor 2 folder and disabled ingame AA and HDR.

With FXAA it looks a million times more like a sim should look in my opinion, until ISI doesn't change the saturation options ingame i'll use FXAA, night and day difference. A great Tweak!!

This is a video of my FXAA setups. More detailed explanation can be found in my post titled "My Simple Benchmark".

By any chance has anyone gotten this Injector to work on GPL?

On the screenshots seem to adjust just the warm tone of the game. It's the impression I have. Like to pass from Spring to Winter for me.

Unfortunately FXAA tweaks the DX9 platform and GPL uses only the DX7 platform. I don't think DX7 itself is capable of much enhancement, either.

Can't you switch GPL to be DX or OGL? Either way it wouldn't work though, DRat is right. DX7 didn't support per-pixel shading which means no support for things like normal maps.

Yep - GPL is DX7 or OGL. In the context of FXAA, OGL, and DX7, isamu is SOL ...

However, in GPL just as in rF2 you can use the direct application settings of your video card tweaker (ATI Tray Tool, nVidia Inspector) to at least pretty-up the image with FSAA and texture filtering tailored to the specific application. This is independent of DirectX or OpenGL settings, and at some tracks you can successfully apply nice looking fogging through manual edits to the track file and an app named GPL Fog.
