I am trying to get the FR3.5 mod into the ModDev folders so I can play with it's physics. I am able to get the Malaysia track to operate in ModDev but I cannot get FR3.5 to show in the showroom or load to the track. I had to build a new rFm because the installed version is locked (I suppose) and I built a folder system that the .GEN (main and spinner) requires with all the folder changes. And have opened up the .MAS files into each .GEN named folder. When I go into the showroom, the car will not load. When I go into loading a track, rF2 shuts down just before leaving the loading screen. I even tried to follow the tuturiol for workflow. The copying of the rTrainer worked but when I tried to apply it to the FR3.5 mod, I got the same result, it did not work. Has anyone been able to get the FR3.5 mod in the ModDev mode? Any suggestions? Thanks
Same here. Tryed to put the megane into to devmod, but without succes :-( Extracted the Megane MAS files into devmod/vehicle, created a rfm (from the rftrainer) file for it and changed the "classes". The car doesnt load in the showroom and game crashes when iam trying to load it onto the track. The trace tells me: Ok, some materials is missing, but i dont know witch Somebody got a idea ??? Where are the global materials saved in rf2 ??? I know in gtr2 it was the "stex" file...
Cube error is related to search paths. Why don't you just copy the testing mod rfm and change the vehicle filter?
I have...I have tried 2 or 3 different things before posting here. Like I was saying, I opened the .gen files and created the folders paths it will call to but still no luck. I know this is a path problem for the car because I got a temp car when going to Joesville and the showroom would not build the car. I don't even get an error for the most part, rF2 just crashes. If someone here has gotten the FR3.5 or the MEGS into the MOD DEV please help us with this. Once again, ISI is not helping, it's been 2 days I've posted this and nothing...
I thought i did so. The mistake was a letter in the vehiclefolder name "Meganes2009", "Megane2009" is the right one Thak you very mutch mianiak
create a folder in "vehicle" called "Megane2009". - extract "Megane_MAIN.mas" into it - copy "M2009.mas" into the vehicle/Megane2009 folder - creat a folder called "teams" and extract the "Megane_TEAMS.mas" into it then make a copy of the "TestingMOD.rfm" file and change the line "Vehicle Filter = OR: Driving_School" into "Vehicle Filter = OR: Megane_Trophy" then it should work. greets
Have you been able to do this with the FR3.5? Because this is how I did it on my first run of trying to get the FR35 in the MODDEV with no luck... I will try again but I'm pretty sure I have done this already, but I won't rule anything out. Thanks
DIdnt try it with the FR 3.5, but should be the same as with the meganes. *M2009.mas belongs into the "Vehicle/Megane2009" folder Have done my first rf2 skin http://racebytes.square7.ch/2012/01/four-motors-renault-megane-extreme-w-i-p/#more-1165
i have the FR3.5's in the Dev/mod section working..it was very simple.. to also do physics testing.. also got Mills both layouts working, Jonesville just seems to be a waste for testing mods on, good to learn how to get a track in, that's about it.... lol I am uploading rF2 Mills for people to use for testing,
Umm...okay...how did you get the FR35 into the MODDEV? I can get the tracks to work...never had a problem with that...
Nevermind, I basically stop thinking the new file searching was different and used rF1 style of naming and placing of files and it now works....
something new about rf35 in devmod? tried it like it was posted for the megane but i dont know what to type in the rfm file as vehicle filter. thx in advance
i tried allready. after my post i checked the rftrainer files and find out how it should work. everything goes fine but in track my car is a rf1 tempcar with polygon tyres. so i will try to extract the megane and try the things posted above. thank you. greetings
I think the 2 most common causes of this failure to load will be either the tgm, you have to make sure the tbc points to the tgm and the search paths. Cross check with the rtrainer to make sure your search paths are right In the developer cli, enter +trace=4 then check your trace log when/if you have a failure.
