Lack of Sound FX

What about some FX when entering pits, like prilling IN/OUT when changing tyres. To give more the feel like the real thing.

And is there going to be any kind of spotter like the addon we had for rfactor?

 

My Very first thing i noticed was the Airship in the Sky, but when in Overhead Camera Replay, it sounds like a Helicopter?, which i would prefer!
I Hope you can do a nice Helicopter hovering overhead instead of an Airship, and the sound was a bit ropey, Steal the sound from the Grand Prix Film Please!!

 

I am not sure if it is a bug, but I miss skids sounds in open wheelers (1960s and Formula Renault). Skids are audible in Renault Megane. I suppose that other tires should make sound too when in a skid.

 

I'm missing the skids sound only with the 1960s open wheeler.

A little update from me: I tried F1 cars from 1960s and in all of them (including Spark F1) I can hear skids. In F2 and F3 cars I can't.
I tried also Formula Renault again and there are skid sounds, but not very audible. I thought it can be because of slicks, but then there should be the similar sound in Renault Megane, which isn't. In Megane are skid sounds much louder.

 

I have the same issue. No skid and scub sounds in the F2 and F3 cars.
I double checked this by muting the engine.

 

I have no tire sounds in any of the 60's cars. I'll double check that when I get home from work and get back to you all.

 

Looks like the sfx file for the f2 and f3 cars point to sound files that do not appear in any of the mass files. tyres_asphalt_scrub_semislick_in.wav is used for the f2 and 3, but the f1 uses scrub04_in.wav. Guess we have to wait for an updated rfmod package.

The original files were renamed, scrub sounds are now working for all f1/f2/f3 cars, no online mismatch.

 

Is it possible to put fix on rfactor central or some public server? The site requires registration and after clicking on it the site says I am not authorised and I need to login

 

registering is for free, so no problem at all

 

Yes, I just thought it is broken, because link in the error message didn't work. I had to use link from menu on the left

Don't know if its just me, but I do not hear the countdown claxon at the starting lights go red one-by-one and then a longer announcement for the race has started...

 

Works perfectly fine. So much nicer to drive with these sounds!!
