If you're planning to play rFactor 2 for less than four years, just get the basic license.

If you're planning to play rFactor 2 for more than four years, get the lifetime license.

They said that is for the lifetime of rF2...I suppose it would be good to know what ISI's plans are for the future of this engine/iteration...

See ISI have placed themselves into a tough spot here.

They might "intend" for it to be a continual development style program, so a 10 year goal might be achievable = $150-$200

Problem is than people complain that "will they get a refund if it doesnt" "that is too much" etc etc etc...and yes, I think we can all accept that WILL happen.

If they make it too cheap (5-6 years say) and their intention is longer, it is of a detriment to them.

I think the CONCEPT of a Lifetime license is fine, I think the application of it is going to be a touch trickier and personally...should not have happened.

Before everyone lynch's me, there will be very FEW users who will ONLY buy this game with a lifetime solution. Another words if the ONLY option was ongoing, there would be very few who would NOT buy this. Most would succumb and still use the yearly option.

Yes there will be a few that will NEED it to be Lifetime but not a huge amount. A lot would PREFER but it would not be vital.

I think what I am trying to say is....not a decision I would like to have to make considering the attitude on these forums when things "dont go the way I want".....

    42 $ + 5 years at 10 $ = 92 $

    Something between 42-92 $

Very Interested in the answer to this question... as a possible option.

Perhaps it has not been considered as of yet and now that the floodgates are opened it may take awhile before the ISI financial gurus get a chance to figure it out, or not.

Why pasting external link, when the answer hangs here already for a very long time, just a few posts above?
