Hi guys, I can not do a Ferrari 488 GT3 livery because when I press the "Create team" button in the in game customize menu the new slot it does not create. Anyone can help me please? Thank you!
Yes, the original S397 model. The folder is created but when I return to the car selection menu the new slot does not appear (the new car with my own team name), still appearing the three or four original car slots. When I did the Ferrari 488 GTE livery, when I return to the car selection menu, I see the new slot that is called "Ferrari 488 GTE GQM #22", but with the GT3 model does not work. Yesterday I tried with Audi R8 LMS GT3 2019 and I have the same problem.
@Iketani On my above Screenshot, on the right of the red Button "Create Car" , you can Enter a Driver Name, Team Name, a Car Description (that is what appears in the Menu) and Car Number. Did you do that and click "Create Team Car" afterwards?
And you have a rcd File in the Folder Ferrari_488_GT3_2020, with a similar Content like the below? (F488GT3_0141079A6C is the Folder that contains the alt Skin dds, JSON and region.dds and Skin mas) //[[gMa1.002f (c)2016 ]] [[ ]] GT3 { F488GT3_0141079A6C { Team = Holly Racing Component = Ferrari_488_GT3_2020 Skin = alt.mas VehFile = F488GT3_0141079A6C.VEH Description = Holly Hunter #5 Number = 5 } } With that, it should appear in the Menu. (The Porsche is no Ferrari, i didn't select the Ferrari )
And it does not appear in the Menu? Do you maybe did use "Jose Llamas" as Driver and/or "Ferrari 488 GT3 GQM #22" as the Description, for another Carskin already? I mean to remember, that this can cause Conflicts sometimes. If "no", please put all the Content of your Folder: ..\rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\Ferrari_488_GT3_2020 into a zip File, upload it somewhere and send me the Link, that i can check it on my PC, if it works here.
Yes, I always use Jose Llamas for Driver name, jeje. Then, later I will try with different names. Thankss.
from my experience, when i do personnal skin modding it is better to build a ".MAS" file with a ".VEH" file and put it in last version of car folder exemple F488GT3 inside folder 3.61 here: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Ferrari_488_GT3_2020\3.61 go to this folder: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Support\Tools open Mas2.exe this open the program to creat a MAS file put your skin + JSon + region + VEH select edit then add files find the folder where are your files i create the VEH for you to show you an example
VEH file attached for demo i use this skin https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/s397-ferrari-488-gte-24h-mans-2023-kessel-racing-n°57.65488/ but with your VEH rename the file attached from F488GT3_022goma.txt to F488GT3_022goma.veh
@Matt21 With your above described Method, can you also use the Icons for the Menus? That would be the perfect Method then.
arh yes but icons has to be created it is an other hard work to do first : let's have the skin working in-game for José
@Iketani example i put some extras driver + Helmet + gloves (from 488GTE) + a special class for your skin only
Done. Many thanks. But I have some problem yet. One problem it is that the materials will not save the changes in Customize menu, and the other problem it is that I don't know why for example the Spanish flag on bonnet and in top appears a little chromed or very chromed if I put Chrome in some channel in Customize. The Spanish flag I have put in normal .dds, not in region one...
I'm no Painter at all, i just wanted to help you, to get it working. But i think, that you also have to paint the Area, where the Spanish Flag is, in the region.dds, in that Color, that is used for another Effect, like "Vinyl" for Example, to get rid of the Chrome Effect.
for modification get registered i think you have to move to mod dev so the old technique folder in settings \rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\Ferrari_488_GT3_2020 i ask the question to a skin pack of our league
