New M2 - shockingly disappointing

I was comparing real life to simracing. If all cars costed the same and they were indestructible in real life, most would prefer the top cars and rookies would have a lot less participants. What would be the point of racing clunky cars when we can have the best cars without any of the drawbacks. But still we want to mimic what happens in real life. I think it makes for a richer experience too.

 

In R/L not everyone is willing to put his life at the stake at every lap, or is so competitive to vote his entire existence to racing to the top. Many just want a thrill of adrenaline in a more friendly and welcoming environment, where burning alive or end decapitated is much much less of an issue.

 

In R/L people feel they don't have the guts for a certain car.

No it isnt.

 

The rF2 M2 is meant to be challenging. Every sim should have cars that can challenge players of any level.

Suggestion: Spend some time in the Skip Barber car, learn what setup tweaks to make to improve your odds. Then come back to the M2 and see if you can do better with it.

 

You're meant to practice before the race. If you're not only new to rF2 but also to simracing, you need to practice more, preferably offline.

 

If the car doesn't turn when you turn the steering wheel, you are going too fast.
There is nothing more to it.
No magical skill, No magical setup, nothing, can make it turn if you're too fast.

But when I press left on my xbox controller while playing Forza 16 the car actually turns left.

Something is clearly wrong here.

Why is a thread about how a car feels turning into "hurr durr, driving slow cars is hard, hurr" ?

 

it was pointed out that the car suffers from horrible understeer?
if you are not too fast, it doesnt.

 

The thread title was the first give away tbh…

 

the rest of the gripes are coming from same source. you are not driving it right. you are driving it like high aero car with superb tires and suspension.
the "too grippy GT3s" (with dated tire model), or any too grippy cars for that matter, that people fall/fell in love with, cause this kinda gripes when the driving turns into something more than brake at about correct point, turn the wheel (no matter if too much) and throttle off with full gas.
There is place for those kinda cars, and they are very popular. doing it wrong only cost you time with them. where as the same mistakes in car like this makes it like the title suggests.
