What tires does the AI use?

I wanted to know what kind of tires the AI uses during qualifying or the race or free practice.

In F1 in 1991, 6 dry tire compounds were used. How do I understand what the AI is using?

The best way is to run a session and then look at it with Log Analyzer.
Unless something has changed in recent times, the AI usually runs only one compound, most likely the hardest, though there are exceptions.

 

Don't they always run the Factory Default setup?

 

Not for tyres. But I know I've seen people struggling to get them using "The right ones" and not sure if that came down to incorrect parameters in the mod (like "softness" in the .tbc) or the code not working correctly.
