I'm tuned. If someone knows and wants to create my .mas files, I can donate. https://forum.studio-397.com/index....ne-to-create-a-mas-with-my-skins-icons.70818/
I've been under the impression for some time that something really, really serious is happening regarding our favorite simulation. It could be something very positive, but I really feel like it is something very negative on the contrary. I have never been so insecure about the future of rFactor 2. It would be great if it was the positive that won out, but I don't believe it. I am neither a diviner nor a seer, I do not have a crystal ball, it's true... But I think we have reasons to be worried. There is movement behind the scenes.
Just a little notice: I have replayed with the Reiza tracks, compared to all the s397 tracks, they are smoother, in most of the turns, I have not the same feeling, like if it was lighter, not as much detailed, the same feeling like if it was a mod track. I'm amazed how s397 tracks are supreme, with the Formula pro, you feel obviously the difference with the road mesh quality and track caster, there is no comparaison vs mods, even with the Reiza tracks. There should be an announce about the Reiza tracks, to tell to the people that it's not at all the s397 quality about visuals and worst, about the road mesh and caster. After racing Monza with the Formula pro, then Imola, I was disgusted, but with any s397 DLC tracks, I'm so happy. If you buy Monza or any s397 DLC tracks, it's hard to use anything else. Seriously, there's the Kartsim pro DLC at 1000€ with 22 kart tracks, I'm ready to pay 1500€ for a rfactor 2 pro DLC, with 15 laserscanned tracks with GT4-GT2 or any good cars.
Yeah, you are right. I suspect this is because Imola was fundamentally made for AMS 1. No matter if you laser scan a track or not, what matters is how you post-process the data and how much you actually include of the scanned data. rF1 based engine worked well on smooth low-resolution mesh, so I suspect Reiza made some compromises there. In general the store page needs to be more refined with categories. It's something obvious that has been discussed for ages.
yes there is something going on....but...no simulation was as often pronounced dead as RF2...and it's still there...and with content and features we wouldn't have even dared to dream of before Studio397....but I'm excited too
