Yesterday I raced on the Abgefahren-Community server at Malayia South Loop with the F3 T318. I could only make it for the second race but from what I have seen, with a full field of 25-35 drivers all made it through T1 in both races. If you don't know what I am talking about then check that track and car combo. The first corner of that layout is tighter than Sainte-Dévote. Stuff like that restores my faith in public lobby racing in rF2
No Will, I'm not, S397 has proven to move slowly, incredibly slowly,(have we seen the red stripe on the Porsche Steering wheel yet? A simple graphic fix going on 1+ years) so even if the art team doesn't conflict with the UI/AI/Multi/Speedup teams/licensing clearance teams/internet teams/hardware team/etc. teams, it still needs testers and management oversight. If it hadn't been three years waiting for the UI, I would totally and completely agree with you. I'm just saying, 'Get something big done.' Then get another something big done, then after a few more BIG THINGS, move on to artsy things, and offline things, and all the myriad other little 'things' that will make rF2 brilliant!
S397 isn't the part that is moving slowly, in fact, the are going very fast. It looks slowly though, because ISI made a mess of code. This is stuff people usually don't get, no matter how many times you tell them.
Yeah, ISI made a decent basic product, but then gave up. So when people complain it's taking forever to do XYZ and it's broken, imagine what they're dealing with at the studio.
Yes, ISI made it all, but a big % was/is bugged... i thank them for what they create, but i hate them for leaving it on the trash can...
