I like the casually-dressed marshals standing by the side of the track and I'd like to see some photographers trackside as well. I don't think this chap was seen often enough to be worth adding though! I like that he had a look-out for safety: "Pack up your easel NOW!"
the idea is to add this characters, wich are unique for late 50's or 60's tracks, there is plan to add this not only at this track but also at others projects in the making, not sure if this will be ready for first released but it is something i am going to add for sure.
Trackside objects are in evidence. You have to be careful as 2D sprites are immediately perceptible and often don't match environment colors, shading, or aren't of extremely high definition without jaggies. 3D is ideal but needs good textures and mapping on top of a reasonably proportional model, and due to older hardware it should be left to high or full settings. Another point is a permanently static character in a dynamic environment. A character or bundles of them at a certain spot can add to the atmosphere but take away from realism and immersion. GPL was the king of that but that's twenty years ago - or even 15 if you count later updates. It doesn't fit the times and technology.

Wish I seen this sooner. Looking forward to it! In the meantime, here's a full race of the 1963 Dutch GP at Zandvoort.
Hi Pascom, due some pay private work with tracks i was unable to give this a final push, i am going to move all my "F3 Classics Tracks) to RF2 for sure, i am going try to do some stuff this year, but next year i am going to focus 100% with F3CT
Brands Hatch it is one of most beatiful tracks of that era, not plans at this moment but who knows in future
I guess I'll have to wind up Blender, do some tutorials and have a go myself. See you in 5-7 years lol!
Happy to pay for quality Sergio I think you can now put on steam as payable DLC Good quality historic tracks are very welcome
I believe one of the few Chaparral 2d/f victories came at Brands Hatch. Certainly it should be considered. As should some of the Can Am circuits, Bridgehampton comes to mind.
My bad english makes me wonder if this is really a dream that will come true! Do you still work at this track? The only reason I bought rfactor2 is due to GrandPrix Legends. And I miss some tracks in Race Factor 2. If you need some money for a coffee just let me know. I will donate to those good things and I know a coffee could never benefit all the work and time you put in this project. But I will try to show you my respect!
hi! yes!! still work on this for sure i am very happy with finalt result so far, hope this track became part of 3PA program i just have to says it feels fantastic with this fantastic sim, so it is like a new rendition of GPL at some point
