Dedicated since latest update: 1 core constant 100% per instance on idle (empty) server? Anyone else?

 

He means use your gtx 1070 instead of intergrated gpu on your cpu

Same problem here. My server that I used last year all to organize championships with up to 40 drivers without problems, now without drivers has the use of CPU at 80%. If you open two servers as I always did, the usage stays at 100% even empty. We started the season today. I use CMD server.

 

Glad I haven't updated yet.
For those that updated the server are these the symptoms
The server runs high cpu on empty
When you join the updated server you have low fps?

 

FPS is fine 400 (tested only one client), just constant 100% one core. I've never seen more than 5-10% (half a core) CPU usage with 20+ client before this update.

 

I believe Carr passed on some of my logs on Discord earlier as I was busy doing TGM changes.

16Gb Ram
ASUS R9 380 4GB
Gigabyte H170-HD3 Mobo
Any other specs required I can try to provide.

 

I know this is off topic,but is there any plans to make the ai actually act like they are trying to heat up and keep the heat in their tyres on the formation lap,instead of just choo choowing along

My 2 servers used to run at 12% cpu when both were empty. Now with just 1 server it's at 30% & 2 = 60%
Server cpu = i5 2500k sandy bridge oc to 4.6ghz

On the client side I'm seeing an increase of fps in both single player & online in stormy conditions.

I have noticed with my issue that a PC restart helped, until loading into another server(doesn't seem to matter what track) then frame issues return.

 

Can i just add do we really think rf2 performance is going to get that much better. Its always been a cpu gpu heavy game, now theres even more excuse for it to be fps heavy. Were not going to get AC or PC2 kinda performance, suppose thats the sacrifice we may have to live with for superior physics!

 

its not the physics that makes the game unplayable a.k.a 10 fps on my system.
its the bad optimization that makes the game suffer from fps.
when its raining i see only a lot of spam of white lines not any superior graphics.
its not the physics that drops fps when i just enable rain

 

not saying its physics mainly.. but come on 10 fps, i didn't even get that on a gtx 970!

 

if i enable full graphics i have 10 fps with 18 cars at start of race with rain.
if i disable rain i go to 40 or 50 fps
full graphics.
Somehow rain is the fps eater not the superior physics.

 

rain has always been the same, even at dx9.. not sure any miracles can be done for this.. i get at least a 30 fps drop in rain, and i get about 60-90 fps in dry on a 1080!

Im not saying your wrong i just think maybe your expecting too much. Rf2 has always been like this.

 

I m not really sure yet if its my expectations for better perfomance but for sure rain is not a rf2 feature for me until they just fix it.

 

and I'm wondering till when people will use this as an excuse for whatever problem that appear....

maybe their running tests on it, i know today they've been looking at the fps issues on it?

 

We already said it's being worked on and a fix will go out asap, please be patient.
