That was super good
Fixed here. Thank you.
Please don't post here then, If you want to provide testing feedback with assumptions, make a thread in Technical and Support.
Going to be fairly strict with this thread, anything that veers off course, and is not a bug report or a support issue with the latest Build, I will remove.
Could you please move my above posting to TECH & SUPP?
//Edit: just want to add, maybe its because of lack of language on my end, but when i write "not 100%", i`m meaning with that sentence, i`m nearly 99% sure but dont can deliver any proof for that at the moment...
I caught a Windows error message: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"
Plus I realized that the error is not strictly related to updated content but the update itself. If I'm patient enough, the program crashes with old content or doesn't crash with new ones.
The crash always happens after loading a track, when the "garage scene" appears, in approx. 3 secs. Never sooner, never later.
I've tried to avoid the error with all methods Microsoft or other websites suggest.
It is clearly related to the update on 15th January. I've never seen that error message before, using rF2 or any other program, and it only happens with rF2.
Windows and graphics drivers are up-to-date.
My specs: Dell laptop, 8 GB RAM, Win7 64, Intel i5, Nvidia 820M
Thank you for any help in advance.
Can you try to remove your UserData folder then restart rFactor 2? If that works, please zip up and send us the old UserData folder if you can, thanks!
It didn't work, sorry. It was a fresh install though. I would have been surprised...
This means I can't play with rF2 until some update fixes it
Steam Build ID 2445683
Dedicated server SteamCMD Build ID 2441877
Fixed undercar ambient shadows showing on non-visible cars.
Fixed undercar ambient shadow glitch on some tracks.
Fixed rare case of abnormally low FPS on some third party WIP content.
Removed undercar ambient shadows in rear view mirrors when car is not rendered.
Note: Dedicated Server does not need to be updated
Top post updated
Please stay on topic, thanks
Thanks for the new updates !
We are still having disconnection problems on both local client and online client when race finishes and starts reloading.
Dedi server (SteamCMD) stays on and stable, reconnection is no problem.
Both clients and dedi updated and verified.
Have a good weekend !
You mean when it auto-pushes to next session?
Yes, that is correct.
Ok we will look into that. Can you send your server trace file? (You can PM it)
Could you tell me what file I am looking for and where I can locate it ? (I am not yet clear with the SteamCMD installation).
I know how to make a trace in Launcher but in SteamCMD ? no idea and I did not find any info on this site.
I'd like to have the possibility to race with only Spark F2 or only Spark F2B, atm it seems choosing F2 or F2B in the opponents doesnt work well
Right click on your server desktop shortcut, select properties and in the target line add at the end a space then +trace=2(or 3). The log it produces will be in the server/userdata/log folder.
DX11 beta works perfectly with any content, old or new!
So I CAN play with rF2 until next update comes
Trace files uploaded.
New SteamCMD dedicated server installation on dedicated SSD, same problem when game ends, game nearly finishes reloading cars and then clients return to Launcher.
Server remains on.
