Hi guys. I'm a rookie here at rFactor 2 and asking all the usual dumb questions. I'm doing my best to look first but so far I haven't found much for muscle cars! Is there any older street cars for rFactor 2? I have spent a lot of time in AC and the street cars don't feel right to me there. (I find AC does a better job with newer race cars.) Older street cars, however, must be hard to get right? Cars are fun to drive hard, even a four cylinder is fun to rally drive in real life so why are they so boring in sims? With the detailed FFB in rFactor 2, I am really looking forward to driving a 70's Camaro type street car with its soft suspension, hard around corners and top speed over a hundred mph in the straights. No one gets the holly hell, flouting feeling, wondering center of gravity, white knuckle driving the way rFactor 2 can reproduce. At least that I have experienced so far. My two favorite cars in rF2 so far are the F1 Spark and Lola T70 Spyder. Both these cars get the floating old suspension feel perfect, I think. Now that I'm getting my wheel and FFB in-game understood and set right everything is feeling really good. Thanks for all the help and warm hospitality!!
Hi and welvcome! No muscle street car mod cross my mind ATM, but I'm not much into street cars so there very well may be something, who knows, but here are generally very little good street car mods for rF2. Although not a street legal cars, I suggest you try out toebees excellent stock car 71-72 mod if you already haven't: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/stock-car-resurrection-1971-1972-beta-03-1-17.53123/ They are vintage Nascar racers, and although still beta, mod is simply awesome and of very high quality. Cars have optional road course setups, so you don't need to drive them solely on ovals.
Thanks guys. My respect here and for the most part in AC is very high. I am here for a reason and that reason is white knuckle, down and dirty driving, which is what rF2 has plenty of. AC does very well with more race car technical driving and they rightfully so have a huge following. I have to say I have recently discovered that rF2 does just fine there as well. The biggest barrier I have discovered is setting your wheel, must be done and is fairly straight forward once I began to understand what rF2's physics were all about. I have to say, coming from AC was a wheel banging experience and I can understand some of the things said about rF2 in AC's forum. I found myself defending rFactor 2 more and more and here I am. I find you guys polite and fair. Now! I went on line and found, which I'm suspicious of, might be ripped content. Not sure. Sorry. However, I got the Yellow Bird Ruf and it drives like a real car, finally!! What a rush. What a demanding little hand full!
These are group of American-made 2-door sports cars with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving.
I think there is plenty of flouting feeling and soft suspension in honda nsx, even thought it is not a muscle car. There is bmw mods on internet that you might like.
The NSX is a pleasure to drive hard and I do love the floating feel of the car in the corners. I had a friend over yesterday and we were really enjoying pushing the cars in rF2 too far and between letting off brakes and easing off steering angle. We could sometimes reestablish contact with the front wheels and make the corner. What a satisfying feeling too experience and even to watch. The car I would have thought I liked the most is the AC Cobra but it feels not much different from Assetto Corsa's version. Coming into a corner a little too fast it plowsteers pretty easy and it's hard to reestablish contact with the road. With a North American big block in the front of a very light chasy and old bias ply trises, I believe this could be a possible outcome. There are some of the best mods I have ever seen in AC right now, one of them is a 1970 Camaro. Everything is high AC quality. Lots of detail in the wheel. Fenders pitch and dive. All very nice in VR but..... And this is a wide BBQ but, lifeless, flat slid plowsteer entering corners when pushing the car too hard. What a shame!!
I was wondering about that. Also, after reading through the physics moding details, credits in the 70's stock cars, I have to wonder if some of these mods have all the physics detail working in rF2 and AC.
I too long for the late 60's-70's muscle to come to rF2, HistorX in rF would have to be the best group of cars I've ever driven in a game but the makers seem to be stuck , my personal hope is that they are waiting for S397 to have DirectX 11 and the Steam paid mod thing they proposed a while back. That Camaro you speak of, is that the AC Legends mod? If so, its pretty good for AC standards, if not, care to share what mod it is.
If I can remember where I got it from. Just as I discovered rF2 I had got a dozen or so best mods I have ever had in AC and I thought half the mods were pretty good in the past but some of these cars are on par for in game AC. Disclaimer is, I don't know if they are ripped or not. I ran across a website for rF2 conversations with permission they claim. I signed in and am waiting for a code. It's called "eSport-Racing.de" has anyone heard of this. There is an impressive list of street cars. I get most of my AC mods from a FaceBook page "https://www.facebook.com/assettocorsacarmods/" The 1970 Camaro is in here. And I see a 1971 as well. Also anything Markos Kass I have seen is amazing. You need to find the F50 by Kass.
Thanks for the link I've never used that download style before, (that wait at the start?) regular mode download? Are they safe? The cars /tracks look good.
So far I can't get anywhere in the 'esport' site either. The Facebook page, I have been using it for more then a year now. The download site that makes you wait 60 seconds can be a little weird sometimes but haven't got virus from it so far. How do the brakes in AC work for you guys?
Those old four door cars were the best all around cars. I don't care how many TV's and WIFI or driving aids these new SUV's have today, they will never work as good or have the practical space of a 70's four boat! They were even more fun to drive!
i didnt even download anything and my computer started going crazy and talking saying i have been at a pornagraphic site (never...on this pc,lol) and i couldn't shut chrome down . Panicked and pulled the power ,lol Restarted and did a AV scan only to find a Trojan . Removed it and all seems fine . Touch wood .
In Germany there was or is a similar trojan or virus, too. It said pornographic material was found on your pc. The pc got locked. The police logo shocked some people so they played the amount of money the hackers wanted.
Wow.....this crap i had last night looked quite legit , it had a windows security page background and was using cortana's voice telling me to ring some 1800 number and some other stuff , in my panic i didnt hear or read it all . I think if i had of hit OK at the bottom things could have been worse, maybe? Windows Defender seems to have got it out . The virus went to my C drive and was in my userdata file ?? Pretty scary shite.
Sorry for causing problems for you guys. Where did you get this from? I have pop ups once in a while but "Malwarebites" blocks them. I use the free version.
