I think this is a bug with rF2 & G29, you probably have to set the degrees manually.

Steering assist on or off? Another user had a similar "problem", promptly removed disabling steering help assist.

First reply might be the answer. If your wheel is stuck on 900° you will turn it farther than many on-screen wheels. How far is your wheel turning before stopping?

I've noticed another weird thing. If I use a car where the wheel seems to sync up ok it will be perfect if I turn the wheel clockwise, however if I turn the wheel anti-clockwise it is a few degrees off (comparing it to the bottom spoke of my wheel).

Go to "...\UserData\Controller\", then edit "Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel USB.json".
Find this entry in JSON and change values to :
    "Steer Ratio Speed":0,
"Steer Ratio Speed#":"Speed at which low speed steering lock override ends (for pit navigation, units are meters\/sec, 0.0 to disable)",
    "Steering Sensitivity":2,
"Steering Sensitivity#":"0.0=low 1.0=linear 2.0=high. These are applied after other controller effects like deadzones, digital",

Then launch game, in control panel clic "Detect", your G29 parameters are loaded. Set your control. You must chose "Vehicule set" (or "Car set" I'm not sure I've french UI :p
Then for FFB smoth on 7 is good, minimum torque on 16% is a good value for me ;)

Careful don't work for street cars (NSX or C6) where Steering Sensitivity value "1" it's good with 900° rotation.

Check there no error on format by a mistake, normaly if you change only the value there are no problems (example miss an ',' after a changed value)

Delete the file and on steam right clic on the game you must have Local files and option to verify the integrity (on french UI is Propietés->'new little windows' Fichiers locaux -> Vérifier l'intégrité du cache du jeu...) this recreate the file.
Try detect again in game to check is Ok and then re-try modifications.

After delete, normaly, at "Steering Sensitivity" you must have 1, have you try to detect after delete and before make some modifications ?
