VirtualOnlineRacers.net just had it's 8th weekly race in this new season. The cars have been amazing and it's attracted a lot of new people. The toughest hurdles have been wheel setups and over all comfort with the car. Nothing to complain to you about. I will say that we do see a lot of roll overs, flips and honestly, "rfactor physics". I will be sure to get some motec data next time it happens. Oh.. Enjoy the show ;>
A bit of AI feedback here: I see that the AI tire wear is ~double the wear rate of the player. I just did 20 laps at Mills Outer A, and I had 0.97% wear on average per lap. The AI with the least wear had 2.02% on average per lap. The AI with the highest wear rate had 2.42% on average per lap.
Still no fix for forced auto-blipping during downshifting ? Disappointing. Edit: I see, thanks for info.
Hello, We will update the mod together with the build 1.0 release of our Endurance Series mod, because it will not be only a question of autoblip correction. You will have to wait.
Just a question: Are there any known limitations when trying to use this mod with the lastest build 1084 in multiplayer together with the Steam-Version of rF2 or is it not possible atm? Because I had setup a new dedicated server (steamcmd version of rF2 dedicated server) and with my non-Steam client I could easily connect and drive the cars, but a collegue that uses the Steam-client version didn't see any cars to select and if he did it blind he was thrown out of the session immediately because of wrong content. We both had installed the Flat6Mod locally and could run it without problems offline. Maybe there is something (new?) going on since the latest rF2 build?
Is there in the Mod or has anyone got a Plain Window/Windscreen DDS (without Names/Numbers on) please?
Has anyone been able to flat spot these tires? I thought something was missing from the ffb then realised it's this, even throwing all brake bias in one direction and constantly locking up I get absolutely no flat spots. Takes away a massive part of the immersion & feel for me unfortunately.
Hmm... Last race, I slide twice and I am pretty sure it resulted in a flat spot, not huge though but I don't think it was just mental (using a T300rs) ? Flat spotting might be more "forgiving" for these than on other cars, say the ISI Corvette soft compound for example
Thanks for replying, when I turn the Tire Wear up it becomes noticeable but when set to Normal these tires are very hard to flat spot but I have managed it finally! Maybe I'm used to other cars too much so was expecting similar results, but seeing as I can flat spot a 1960s (very hard tires) tire quicker than this one makes me question exactly how hard this tire is supposed to be. Either way under normal racing conditions it doesn't feel right for me, I'll await the full mod and try again then
Yes thanks I've seen the first post Work In Progress bit so hoping this can be improved in the future
Driven this yesterday, for the first time. Holy crap, this drives amazing I love that heel/toe pays off, I just wish there would me more advanced gearbox modelling by ISI to really emphasise proper driving technique. It really was a handfull on the Nordschleife, but that is probably me braking too late at half the turns because I don't know the track well enough I'm also in need of a sequential shifter now, and better pedals... damn you guys!
What is the proper and I mean accurate method of shifting this masterpiece of a car? Sequential shifting, upshift with full throttle on and downshift with heel and toe? Thanks!!!
You're right. Full throttle upshifting and heel and toe downshifting. Check out these 2 videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REcvGkYC1iI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3hrpkHoyrM
