P2P is no different than the good ol' Overtake button just about every turbo'd race car has had since forever anyways, other than the fact it's metered.
You joking right? Iracing released DW12 this week and it's outstanding. I expect RF2 version to be even better graphics wise. Indy itself not so sure as iracing has better bump mapping. I'm sure will look pretty though.
Except their first attempt at one of their biggest races of the year, with the car they rushed to get ready for this event and only this event has been a massive fail. They screwed up with Qualifying times, the race bombed and didn't happen.... Not good.
Will be interesting if P2P comes with the appropriate rules - metered application doesn't work with the Formula Renault yet. How does this car compare with the FR3.5? They both seem pretty equal, spec-wise... similar HP and weight. It's a great week for Open-Wheel racing, for sure.
The DW12 road course config should put out 700-750 HP or somewhere in that ballpark. The FR3.5 is a lot less.
Empty Box... whyyyy!!! I watched couple of your episodes from the tube inclueding your FR3.5 driving around reviewish video, and now I got all into this damn indycar, you made it sound so cool. It was like a childhood flashback to grandmothers meatballs and gravy, about Papyrus Indy500. I need it
Upper end, 750, yeah. For the first time since we can remember, we think F1 might not find beating an Indy car very easy.
I'm surprised this hasn't been posted. DW12 template! Posted on RF2 Facebook. http://www.imagespaceinc.com/downloads/rf2/paint/car/DW12.zip
I dont know about that, F1 is a totally different beast, but it may be closer than in years, I totally agree with that 100%. In sims I have found myself liking more driving the cars that are notch down from F1 specs that F1's them selves, so that makes me quite exited about the indy.
People should get refunds, they really should. iRacing dangled a carrot in front of us, and we all bought the blasted car with the promise of a huge epic Indy 500. What then ensued was instead a huge epic fail. Utterly ridiculous. Well enough about that service. Can't wait to try the DW12 in rF2!
I havnt even watched an Indy race since the 90's, but for some reason I'm excited about this too - maybe because it could just be a shot in the arm for rF2
Well we've seen it the better question is will we get to drive it before the 500? It's a holiday weekend you really think they are working?
I see, although people are paying for content not the free event, but I understand the frustration, bet they'll stage it when they sort out what ever problems they've had
Yeah maybe they will. Hope so. The forums and Twitter/Facebook are ablaze, that's for sure. Problem is people have paid for a car with a forced oval configuration that they can't run in any official sessions until next season. Not cool. But enough about iRacing. A question for you all: Are you gonna run the DW12 on Indy first time out, or on another track? I'm thinking I'll try one of the Mills layouts first thing. Should be awesome!
I'm more interested in the road configurations of Indianapolis, not really interested in the car but will give it a try, also try it on the oval saying that, I wasn't that interested in the new formula Renault until I tried it
