View attachment 11781 Looks like MM is working again for me... leaves me with 1 problem, still having the same error with the vmods failing to download. keep getting: MOD download failed. (added a screen of it) any solutions, other then downloading and manually installing the vmods, beeing looked at?
Just a Heads up for Tim, the latest build info at the top of the forums is still showing 382-Dec2013.
I don't quite understand why some are not having the MM issue and others are. I have tried numerous times getting to MP and it CTD everytime. This actually concerns me because the MP part of rF2 is whats important to me.
I just got the vmod downloading working again(btw skins weren´t downloading when I came on a server either). First tried disabling my bitdefender internet security that didnt help, but a complete uninstall of bitdefender did the trick! not to keen on having no security running so would be great if it could be solved, never had any issues before with bitdefender & rFactor2 (or any other program) Still having greyed out join buttons, also the ISI ones but hope that will also be solved soon.
The two servers with track names that had accent characters are either offline or have been switched to different tracks. That is why the MM works again. As for GetMod not working. For me, as long as I get a "MOD" button it works. Normally if you get a download failed it is because you already have the rfmod in your packages folder and it will not overwrite it for obvious reasons. Check in your Packages folder to make sure you don't already have the file... if so, delete it or move it somewhere else and try joining again.
Try the MM right now. It should be back to normal. Assuming no one has started up another server with a unicode track name.
LOL there's an ISI test server up running B500 and the series name saturday29022104, someone should tell them this isn't a leap year.
vmods aren´t already in the packages folder, the most not downloading are ones with spaces in the names but still getting error whith downloading skins whike on a server.
Do you already have the mod in your packages folder, but not installed? See known issues.txt. AFAIK there's two reasons for this. 1. As I said above, having the mod, but not installed. Delete the file (whether it is the previous one with a space in or not) and try again. 2. The host having a space in the rfmod filename (which we did, I uninstalled them, renamed them, installed them), this is mentioned now in the first post.
Right after I last posted, Jonathon emailed to say he had made some changes, the workaround might actually be in-place. Not seeing any NEW mm issue reports yet...
That is good news. Maybe I will host a server with the bad track just to be sure... Edit: Wahoo!!! It's fixed. I just hosted a server called "MM Crash Test" using the culprit track and the MM didn't crash. Nice work ISI! Edit2: I also see this test server "~z~". Edit3: The Join/MOD button is grayed out on ALL servers for me now. Edit4: Nevermind... It's working now.
