Nissan 370z rrS Experimental v0.20 (update) Changes in v0.20 - LODs for rims fixed. Should work on all settings now - Upgrades added: 1 FFB preset "Very Low", tire compound selection incl. tirewall lettering for Trackday and Racing Compound (only visible ingame), added ISI 370z default damage for multiplayer - reduced yellow tinting for mirrors - Added my Nordschleife setup as default- should be good for a lap around 7 minutes - Works fine as a basis for other tracks - Readjusted materials for carbody and rims a bit (still not where I want it to be, but getting closer) - fixed engine rev limit and did some other minor tweaks... Small "Drift"-Update Changes v0.20 - v0.24: Additonal Drift compound added in UPGRADES: - SSW/HSW compound (based on Trackday, less grip and minimal wear) Selecting this upgrade also selects different PM and HDV values: - Steering lock range: 29° - 50° - Front Track Width increased - Front upper/lower A-Arms Other: - Handbrake activated - Allround Drift-Setup included Tip: If you do not feel comfy with the direct steering, increase steering angle to reduce nervous steering behaviour -> adding ~ +80° to +120. It takes some practice to get good control during drifts. Always keep in mind to reduce speed on corner entry significantly compared to what you are used to clean driving. Work with lateral load shifts before/on corner entry and be smooth on the throttle as you control the drift angle and radius with it. Thank you all for the positive feedback Very good hint, thx! I messed up the LOD settings for the rims and didn´t notice because I only tested with player and opponent detail on "full", where the LOD definition is ok so far. The upgrade sector will be fixed & extended with the next update. There is still a lot to learn, as my last more extensive mods were years ago for F1C. So every feedback is much appreciated!
Speedster, The only thing I can see that I'd like to see fixed is the mirrors. Looking in the mirrors it is like a yellow tint, and not very clear. I race cockpit view. Other than that, this mod is fantastic fun. Thank you so much
@RCRacing: I will have a look at the mirrors, thx @Wajdi: It is the original cockpit of ISIs 370z with some texture edits on the gauges (revs and speedo). The rrS is just a fictional virtual creation - you can compare it to what car tuners are doing in real life (e.g. Nismo, Ruf, Schnitzer, G-Power...) I had to use the 370z V1.1 as the MAS-file of this version were delivered unlocked by ISI. The MAS-file 1.43 is locked, so I didnt touch it for known reasons.
FFB feels so great! best mod car atm! I love those trackday tires And.. 39° steering ratio... you are my hero
Clearly by overwhelming positive remarks alone the "mod" is better then what ISI did. My question would be, why should ISI bother with anymore upgrades if you all so happy ? You given them a out.
Not sure if your still having trouble speedstar but from what i can see you need to turn the lod out setting up higher for the lower detail graphics on the spindles and tires //<MED> MeshFile=<RFRIMM> CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowCaster=(True, Solid) LODIn=(8) LODOut=(30) Shado I think maybe lod in should be 0 and lod out should be 90 - 100 //<LOW> MeshFile=<RFRIML> CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowCaster=(True, Solid) LODIn=(30) LODOut=(210) ShadowReceiver=True lod in if im correct i think this refers to the distance before the object can be seen so any distance closer you cant see it ....??? Lod out on that 1 is ok though
Thanks for the help R1CHO The LOD Settings as such are not an issue. The mistake here is/was that I set the prefixes in the lines for different ingame detail settings: <MAX>, <MED>, <LOW> and commented the 2 latter with //<MED>, //<LOW> . Thats the reason why everything below FULL settings ingame doesnt show up the rims in game. The LOD of those two should then be the same as for MAX (LODIn=(0) LODOut=(210), then it works. Another way would also be to remove the MAX, MED, LOW and edit the LODS the way you mentioned e.g. 0-30 / 30-100 / 100-210, so the ingame detail settings do not matter at all. so there are 2 ways to do it which work when i have no variables set for "meshfile" e.g. "meshfile=12345.gmt. The main issue that i have atm is to show the different rim upgrades in spinner. I almost tried every combination including <STARTUPGRADES>; (Instance)<UPNUMBER>;<STOPUPGRADES> etc., none of them worked. I took the GP79 files for an example as well as the johnconners conversion of the rf1 razor. None of them worked and I tried about 30 possible variants even separating the xxTIRE instance lines to a xxRIM instance which should work with the logic in the file description by ISI . but they do not If you maybe have a hint on this/the rim upgrades, that would be great. Thanks again for your input mate!
Ok mate I will have a look at that I know the upgrades on the wheels for the utes work. so I will just cross reference it all and see if i can see anything fingers crossed lol
