Just ran an hour long multi-class race with the P2 around Sebring. What a brilliant car already in terms of the physics! The car could do with a bit of a polygon boost, and maybe just a bit of work in the interior. The tire sidewalls also need the fictional tyre type replaced with Michelin branding. I might give that a try myself later tonight, though I've never done anything other than livery creation. The chassis skin needs some work to, as it's currently matte black when it should be carbon fibre, that's something that only takes a minute or so to change, and the default skin is a bit janky and has some low res/blurry logos. I've also done some bits and pieces to the psd template to make it a little easier to work with. If anyone wants it, I'll upload it later on.
One thing I noticed is that the tyres seems to have lost some grip when moving from devmode to singleplayer. What do you guys think of the overall griplevel?
There's definitely not enough grip in the LMP1, and I also struggled with the brakes, they seemed a little weak even at 100% brake pressure.
Hey Twister have you changed the steering wheel range, its on 700 or something by default where as it should be similar to a F1 car so your not taking hands of the wheel. Changed mine too around 500 and its pretty good now.
Also any one else getting a blackened screen flash on and off from time to time, seems to be when i get over taken by a LMP1 car, then when it gets a certain distance away it stops.
I think it's a nice car and, though still in development, already pretty good. I have one question however; are there any others that noticed the sound is totally not what it is in the video? In the video, it's very nice, but in the game; it needs a lot of work. Could it be my system? Do I have to look for something? Or is it just the way it is for now?
i installed this after updated to bulid 198 but when i try to load a track i always got this error http://i46.tinypic.com/wjueiw.jpg and after close this error the car looks like this http://i45.tinypic.com/2ns53bq.jpg any help?
I will run some more tyre simulations and release an update soonish. Will also revise the brakes as commented here and include adjustable ARBs from cockpit (thanks Guy Moulton for feedback). One thing to keep in mind with these cars is that the real ones use traction control. Last Sebring race there was few "moments" where the traction control didn't pick up and the cars spun right off track. With the revised compound I plan to get the cornering acceleration back in line where it was, but the LMP1 will probably still be a handful without traction control. Regarding the black screen stuff, it's probably better to ask Stefan.
What a pleasure to drive these cars at Sebring ! I'm particularly pleased that you have chosen a Pescarolo car. This is a great man, one of the best drivers of 24h du Mans

Thanks for sharing all that guys. The P2 give really good feeling and feedback. Seems like you've done good job with physics. Way to go. =)
