According to people in this thread --> http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php?p=318268 the 344.60 drivers have significantly lower minimum framerates than the 344.48 drivers.

 

Like I already said lol maybe ( " " ) just maybe it could be the apps and tools and all the games ready crapola they keep adding to the drivers. ? lol

As I said before I only ever install the 2 folders within the Nvidia setups you need for the setup to actually run .......AKA: Display.Driver and NV12

I also said before if you run 3D , 3 screens or streaming or need a app to do game settings, well that is your problem. hehehe

( maybe you just do not listen to me.... p )

Both drivers for me run identical frames ( btw I did test more then just pits online alone ) hehehe

think i will wait for some feed back on driver 344.65 1ST b4 i dwn load it.

 

Did a W8.1 test yesterday with my new Haswell and chipset to compare to sandy.

Have to admit pleasant surprise, smoked the install and setup and when I booted my F3-Rookies it was 2-3 fps better in spa garage with identical settings as in my tweaked W7 and I had barely touched the 8.1 really. >>>>>> LMAO !

Latest driver looked wonderful, using saved profiles and settings.

How I explain more fps ? ........ I have no idea. ........ loool


Then I had a few small dramas and got tired so I restored my W7 in a few minutes BUT p ...I also saved the 8.2 image ( also took 3 minutes ) and am thinking of giving a few more hours of my time to it today see I can smooth it out.


...........as it will only take me 3 minutes to restore it back to where I was, saves substantial time............ as I point out in trueimage BP rants. hehe

Yeah not the particular reason I was thinking to have sticky.

If it was a

issue then people should never notice differences driver to driver, yet they do.

If you have individual threads for each driver as you see in general forum some may have worthy observations or a good community fix, problem is threads disappear fast.


Example: The latest WHQL thread which also talks about MFAA is already relegated to Page 2, soon to be 3.

 

BTW

This thread is for ATi/AMD as well and all latest tools pertaining to GPU.


Example: Page 7 you find latest MSi Afterburner and EVGA PrecisionX ( thanks Spin )

 

Has anyone installed the new AMD Omega drivers? I installed it when it was first introduced and after a few hours or so my computer went into some weird cycle with mouse clicks happening multiple times in rapid succession on some programs and not others... Had to restore a save point from earlier to clear it. Very odd. I dont know if it is related to the new driver or not. But I have not installed the Omega driver again yet.
