I am happy to report I can get back into devmode with this build! Now, does anyone remember where I left off?
Oh my... can't decide if I should install update tomorrow or tonight, it's veeery late and my G27 wheel make noises... Hmmmm... Just kidding, of course I can't wait
All downloaded and installed no problems at all, I was updating a clean install of 118. Monaco is a bit broken as has already been reported, all the way up the hill to the next corner there are transparent crowds, trees, stadiums and such...no big deal as I'm sure the next update will fix that. Croft now has a black sky, probably an HDR thing as I have turned that back on to see what it is like now. Reason why Modders are reluctant to release stuff at the moment of course. No negative Frame Rate hit that I can notice, still drivable in every car and track I have tried. Skip Barber...hmm tough wee puppy and not suited to a BTCC FWD fan, but I will spend some time with it as it is all about throttle control, and mine is not the best. All in all nice track, and another step forward...if we ignore the Monaco step back
That Monaco issue so far as only happened to two people who both mentioned they updated, and didn't install fresh 125. Can you try installing fresh 125, or uninstalling and reinstalling the historics?
The Skip Barber is the hardest thing I have ever drived in a sim. Default setup at Lime Rock and just trying to do a lap without crashing... Haven't succeed yet. Spark F1 is easy compared to this
I guess it's realistic but there's no adjustable gear ratios... so why are 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear short, and 4th and 5th long? When I put 5th in on the straight, it feels like the car is to weak to accelerate anymore
It doesn't have much power you just have to drive it. At LRP in the NATIONAL I use 3rd in t1, 2nd left, 3rd right, 4th uphill, 4th west bend, 4th downhill, 5th before the end of the keening after the downhill. Regional I have to use a lower gear to get it to turn until the track is grippy. 2nd-3rd t1, 2nd left, 3rd right, 4th uphill, 3rd west, 4th downhill. Sent from a mobile device using Tapatalk
Are you saying you updated or did a fresh install, and did you try uninstalling and reinstalling just the mod? Thanks Sent from a mobile device using Tapatalk
Same here. I tried both, an update to my current install, and a fresh install to a different folder with nothing but the 60s mod. I can say the building is viewable from an outside view of the car. View attachment 4864 View attachment 4865 Happy to say Dev mode now works with Windows XP.
But it feels like I have to use 1st gear in some corners to get it to turn But I haven't touched the setup (not even fuel). Going for a new try tomorrow. Main problem is the oversteer when entering corner. I try to not lift off to much but still it's like drifting
Sounds like you're maybe not turning with the throttle. Steering wheel just sets up entry and balances it really. Don't give up on it. Sent from a mobile device using Tapatalk
I can confirm too with a fresh install (userdata deleted) I have invisible wall in monaco. I did not reinstall the mod.
Ok... first off, I just saw myself in the AI! Thanks for picking me Tim/ISI. It`s really neat to see my name up there twice as it were. I can now race myself lol... I`ve seen nikos in there too and a few others I recognise. I did the full update (using the full build 125 installer) and no cars being blacked out here and have really good fps but I`ve noticed a "running" black shadow type thing running along the fences. Only tried one layout so far but loving the track and Skip. HDR off btw... and nvidia card. Back with more soon.
Same for me, cockpit view no building. In the chase cam view the building is drawn once again. Tested using the patch then with the full build after a complete uninstall/reinstall.
