@ Tim....i thought the idea was to get away from car/track vmod combos for your releases...or are you sticking with it? Edit : answered while i was posting...stop reading my mind
I did, only way I got it to work was by using an activation. Then the update didn't work anyway, something about missing core files. So now downloading and installing fresh... fun fun. ;-)
Im glad to see your posts Gjon! And I must say im absolutely baffled how its possible to make the same track and car combo so unbelievable more fun then on the other lifeless boring expensive simulator, its a whole new experience! Small things i noticed at my first run: The skin #10 picture is another car The virtual mirror is very black (like night) after turning off HDR, which i do since i get black boxes on the AI cars otherwise.
Seems it was the hdr profiles what have been added, by default it was on realistic clear so i change to dramatic clear it got a bit better but the whites seemed to glow bright. Any way changed it to none now and its better but still fps drops a bit in last bend but its bearable.
hahah, I see it. Good catch. That is actually a generic 2012 GP car, which will go with a non-generic one.
bummer...tbh ive just always rared up my core folder of my game after an update and uploaded that to the server ...dont have to worry about torrent programs and such on our server that way
I am grabbing it all now, to take a look. I hate to be a wet blanket, but would have preferred they wait until this is ready, to be honest. It appears Gjon has bowed to pressure from the whiners and wankers who want everything yesterday. However, it released now, so be it.
I don't see Skip Barber in the dedicated list. I take it that we can't host LimeRock? Or what am I missing?
If this was about that, the update would have been released a couple of weeks ago. It also gives everyone a fresh head, too. Both in the community and in the office. Even without a build note, this 'felt' like a big change from 118 to me as it is.
haha Nice, underside of front wing looks like the Ferrari, hopefully Kers (I hope Marussia will be a official one, screenshot from cockpit on facebook looked like it, and my brother works there as an engineer, would be cool to drive his car )
Good job y'all there at ISI cave. Timmy there there, breath... in and out, in and out, woosa go to the happy place.
I can't understand why ISI tracks runs at 20 fps and croft for example runs at 60fps with same settings. I was really happy to test this track but I can't enjoy it =( well I hope to get a new card in a few months.
Thanks for the post Gjon, I appreciate it. Downloading the update as I type, looking forward to this one... Thanks ISI.
There's a couple of things in the first post which may help FPS (based on what people have posted as feedback). Try those before giving up.
