The only time I experienced something similar was when I was screwing around with the Speaker Configuration selector in the Settings>Audio section and put in on Windows Settings rather than my actual speaker setup. I didn't think at the time it was only with the certain mods though; I changed it back pretty quickly.
This is a known problem with some community made mods. As you said, turning opponent volume down helps. This problem came along with some recent build. Maybe it's going to be fixed in some future build or then modders should update their work.
We had this problem with Lola at Texas, a lot of people complained. At the time I thought it was Texas problem, now I see its Lola's. Yes, its recent, one build before I think. Just turn down opponent volume.
This mod is not receiving the amount of love it deserves online! Therefore, I've put up a Lola FUN SERVER. No password required. 4 courses at the moment. Quali session and a 10 lap race. We're still working out the finer details and live timing, but it's fully functional. Look for the VirtuaProRacing server in the public server listings. Other info will be available at virtuaproracing.com as we progress. HAVE FUN!
I just ran a few laps with this beaut at Mid Ohio. First impressions are a HUGE thumbs up! All fun when using an Hgate shifter!
Hi all, I will do the last update for the T280, before release something else . I have in mind, fix sound Pb, fix Exhaust fire, try to implement driver animation, fix mapping pb and release the template Have you any points, what we need to improve ? do a wish list, I will see if I can do it
I really enjoy your mod, it reminds me of GPL but in rFactor 2. I only have a couple of things as feedback: 1- Driver heads seem huge . Maybe work on a couple more helmet/face cloth items instead of some drivers with exposed face (as it doesn't look as good). 2- The cars' reflection seems a little bit too much. I don't know if it's materials, shaders, or alpha layers. The game engine doesn't handle shadows well so some little bit of shading done to the textures would be great. 3- Driver body in cockpit view. That's all!
Ok... this is good news, thanks pixsim... Tbh I`ve not driven the Lola for a few weeks so I will and I`ll get back to you if I find anything I think needs a mention.
I remember some problems with the LODs - like disappearing parts of car in near distance too early. Like the reflections very much - like polished cars (just my 2cents)
The cars are so great that I wish you did a great cockpit as well, they really deserve it. The dials are top quality, wheel is nice too, but the rest of the cockpit should be more hi-res, the cables are nicely placed but they should look more realistic imho. I dont use drivers arms so I cannot commend. All and all a superb car, even skins are top quality historic wise, I think reflections are ok since these cars were highly polished, please try to give it a better cockpit and it will be one of the greatest in RF2
I had some laps with the Lola at Spa and Monza. I can really only say what you and some others have already said. The sound bug needs fixed, it`s pretty freaky and I too think cars are coming up behind me when they`re not. The cars back wheels come up through the body work when driving over humps etc but I think that`ll be the mapping problem you intend to fix? The driver could do with a bit of work and driver animations would be nice even though I don`t have the driver/steering wheel on when I`m driving, it would be good to have for replays etc... The static exhaust flame as youv`e mentioned and the mirrors... maybe make them a bit more high res and maybe a little more clear? The basic model is fine but it would be good to have a higher res cockpit as nikos said... it would really help to make the car. Would it be possible to have a motion blur on the wheels/rims when paused (say for screens) All in all, the mods pretty good, I really enjoy driving the Lola and with the updates your planning to do I think it`ll be top drawer. I look forward to them and your new release. Thanks for your work.
