Hi all, we're looking to run one of 3 tracks for the next Event. Test them out and let us know what you think. You will have to update 1960's All Tracks to version 1.0 http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/4739-1960s-World-Class-Racing-All-Tracks-vMod?p=75118&viewfull=1#post75118
If you have trouble installing the update please let me know. Remember uninstall v0.71 and delete it from packages.
I've voted for Brianza. The reason is to drive something different from a standard track. In my opinion Searspoint is the best of the three, so demanding and restless. Then comes Putnam Park, a track I find so comfortable to drive in.
I was thinking... what if one day Targa Florio is released for Rfactor2? That would make an incredible 1 lap race (yes, i'm watching right now the Targa Florio report on Eurosport, RIP Gareth Roberts)
Tested Brianza for an hour or so with Paul Ceglia. This will be track will be great fun with a big grid and a real test of driver awareness. Not voting until I have spent the same time on the others.
I mean 1 lap taking in consideration our 20min limit. Gareth Roberts was a copilot who died in a crash this past weekend at the Targa Florio rally
Any track will be fun offtopic: Fergy, I have just checked the league.sr4l website and I am not in the mid-ohio race stats, is everything updated?
I made a mistake with a xml file, we will have it corrected at some point today. Still learning this new system
I am voting for searspoint, it looks so challenging to me that I want to learn, so far I am very bad at it. Thanks Fergy and sorry for bothering you, it is just that I am quite excited to see myself in a racing league
Now I know I don't have a say in al this except for my vote, but as far as recruiting goes, I thought I might chip in..... If you want to recruit, do you really want to do that on a track that's flat-out almost all the way and thus gets a bit boring after a few laps for some? The speed of the F3 is very low for that track and it's 10K.......... Laps of 4 minutes, lifting 3 times a lap? Maybe that's not really right for recruiting, but that's just my humble opinion. just trying to help of course.
@gorgias, not weekend sorry. @Nav, did you test with a few on track? Takes a lot of skill to race wheel to wheel and to be aware of you surroundings. Imo
@ Fergy, no I did not; the server was empty every time I looked. I suppose it is a lot different with more cars yes. Just trying to chip in
Where can i register for the next race? I already made a Account on the SR4L site. But i don't know where to registry for the next race :/
The server is now holding serspoint. I'd switch it to Brianza as it looks it will be most probably the winner of the poll so we could all start making presence there. One problem I find in the server is that when you are racing alone you can not vote for a weekend restart as it requieres 2 votes to do so. That is a problem as the few rubber you can leave on track gets lost when the track reloads and so the car is very difficult to set up online (that's why I mostly do my setups offline and just come online to see what times I can achieve and compare them). Some AI drivers could also be good help to rubb the track.
