Build 85 Discussion

Just installed the update. CTD every time. Rebooted, same

 

There is an improvement for me, yes.

 

There's some pretty huge updates to the modding system, actually... Noted in the function section though.

 

only change i was interested in was mod/track association issue. Guess we're gonna still have to have 3 versions of same mod to race on different tracks.....

will download tomorrow. not too fond of torrents.

CTD from where, at what point? What do you have installed in terms of plugins and mods when it happens?

Well from my 'complete' build 69 i installed the update, went ok, restarted RF2, clicked Simulate, "rf2 has stopped working"

Rebooted, still doing the same

 

Tim, what are the changes to mod files, the updates to each series? there should be info page on that. Any physics changes?

 

What is crashing, the Launcher, or when you select single/multiplayer?

 

Is that when you click simulate, or when you launch rf2 from simulate? What do you have installed in terms of plugins and mods....?

 

OK i had installed JUST the ISI Formula mod, after doing the update.

As per someone in the other thread, i uninstalled that mod, now rf2 opens to build 85

 

It was when i clicked on the single player icon, but see my previous response above

 

The ISI Formula Masters needs other content installed first. With no mods installed, it should say above that mod it cannot install it within the mod manager.

 

It said it installed in the mod manager

I just tried the Fr3.5 update - same thing - it wont open RF2 with the mod updated.

 

OK, so after installing/updating the build, the other mods should be updated first and then the Formula Masters last..?

 

Yep I think that's it as I just reproduced it myself. The FR3.5 mod needs to be 1.2 I think. The FISI mod references to updated content. Sorry, missed putting that failsafe in.

Can one of you confirm?

 

how to update 69 to 85? i put itin update directory and what then? launcher doesnt see update.. manualy it doesnt want to work - says only launcher can start the update

 

Uninstalled the Rf3.5 mod (entirely, as its updated to 1.2) and now RF2 b85 opens.

It doesnt seem to like the new mod files

 

i tried now build 85 update with F1 historic and the mirrors are black.....
(virtual mirrors works)
