Me too I ran a fleet of those vans in the background, twas a great job And meeting Alan McNish was a great pleasure even though he is a lad from the home country
I would actually like to see more period-time tracks, if Im driving a 1950ies car I would rather the track be it too with all typical things with it (call it atmosphere/immersion). So the track in mind isnt that important(sure I have my wanties too ) but I want the whole package, not like driving a '57 Testa Rossa around some zzz-ZzZ--zzz .. b-b-..z-z-zz-zzZZzz-zz borring 'tilke-drome' which would feel like a historics venue with old farts pootling around trying to save the car from breaking down because its the only one left in the whole wide world.
We have seen renders of the vehicules who would be in rFactor 2. But on the tracks subject we dont know much, i dont get why they dont communicate more on this. Mills Estoril Monaco Spa Sepang China I dont think i forgot one. Anyway the wait could be less stressful if we had some stuff to talk about. Some snapshots would be nice ISI.
I'm looking for rF Tracks i will try and learn that Layout in rF: Portugal and Malaysia i cant find, can you link the tracks pls. We get Mills 3 layout or only GP (long) ? Edit: Malaysia = Sepang (now i can test)
Bullocks I've discussed a few times some of the tracks we've done, and are doing, for rF2 in various threads. In any case: I guess I could summarize: The first open beta release will contain: Mills (2 of 6 layouts) Malaysia (2 of 3 layouts) Portugal (1 of 2 layouts) Belgium '66 (1 layout) Monte Carlo '66 (1 layout) Some tracks we have waiting in the wings to be released over the course of the beta: Mountain Peak Speedway (Oval, infield road course, and 2 kart tracks) Palm Beach International (Road Course and Kart track)--the first of our licensed tracks Quebec SuperKarting (3 layouts) Some tracks currently being built: Toban remake Another '66 track (not telling so don't ask, but it is a remake of sorts of a rF1 ISI track). We also have been acquiring licenses for several other tracks which will be announced in due time (I don't know when, so don't ask). As well, there are some tracks I didn't mention, and won't until we have code to support them properly. Other than the two being built right now, there have already been screens here of all of these.
I cant wait for Palm Beach and Cha..err..Mountain Peak I would thoroughly welcome more fictional tracks, too.
You could take it as Silverstone 60's layout Or it could be Monza or maybe even Nordschleife seen as they did Nurburgring in rF1..
I think Monza. But I'd prefer Silverstone because I think the athmosphere is something different at that track. The Nordschleife I'd prefer in it's modern form. But considering the other non formula historics I've seen in previews the historic version could be epic too when you do endurance racing. Any one would be epic actually.
While you're in this open mood. :b What cars are considered for adding during beta? I'd love to see a touring model or GT or one of those historic prototypes.
Yeah, i think Monza too but..i hope in future ISI will develop other historical tracks too, like the marvellous Nordschleife!
