Hello sim racers, Another day - another announcement! This time, we continue our BTCC collection with the highly anticipated BMW 330i M Sport - a wonderful car in both real and virtual. Find out all you need to know here:https://www.studio-397.com/2022/10/announcing-bmw-330e-m-sport-btcc/
Is this a car that will be added to the existing Touring Car Pack? or will it be extra? Also can we expect a 2022 all in pack with the release of Q4 content?
It was expected, only the Civic and Astra are missing. Paul, can we expect some classic car like the Mini Gr.2?
Nice looking car indeed, S397 for your sake please do a thorough quality check on every aspect of physics , sounds , graphics....everything before releasing. No visible wheels bug like caterham or high rake gives more top speed on BTCC cars , both of which were fixed iirc but really makes a bad impression.
I'm pretty sure this will be a popular car, given its rear wheel drive proper touring car/saloon/sedan with 4 doors as opposed to front drive cars, which are very different to drive. So good progress with the BTCC cars, only a couple left to complete now. However, the same cannot be said about the BTCC tracks. Despite the "raft" of UK tracks (2) having been released, this still only covers 4 of the 10 rounds of the championship, and that only because 2 layouts of Brands are used. In general, the ability to produce cars seems to be better (and this includes MSGS with "DLC" for NASCAR which is basically just sets of skins), but we don't seem to have increased the speed of making tracks much, or maybe its just spread across too many series. Fuji and Portimao remain for WEC, and lots of Indy tracks and those include complex street tracks, and probably some F-E tracks too.
Isn't hyndai fwd ? did you mean to say infinity q50 ? whatever the case please no copy pasta (unless ofcourse somethings are nearly identical).
They'll probably save the Honda for the next quarter and release either the Astra or Leon with the BMW. At least that's my guess. #14
since the Astra and Cupra(Seat?) are not very popular, I was wondering if they would be included with the Honda & BMW, almost as freebees. We have 3rd party Knockhill & the announced Bahrain, I expect Thruxton as I THINK it was used in the rF2 simulator at the final 4 rounds of the BTCC. So another BTCC circuit and/or an Indycar venue would make up a 4 car, 2/3 track package.
so the packs and pricing conundrums continue. I bought only the first 2 cars in the BTCC series, especially since I only want to drive the RWD cars such as the Infiniti (and I also happen to be an Infiniti owner in real life). At this point, I am probably better off waiting until a full BTCC car pack is available. Assuming that gives a 40% reduction, I would "double pay" for the first two and still end up with 2 "free" cars. Regarding the packaging and need for all cars in the current CS system, it's my understanding that most cars are packaged with say version 1.36 being just the skins/liveries, and 1.35 which contains the models and physics. Could this be modified such that say, version 1.36 contains the models and AI physics (i.e. non-driveable physics) and then the 1.35 is what you actually pay for, to get driveable physics? That way you'd be able to get the AI/non driveable cars and still be able to compete in the CS. Just a thought.
