Why are the Astra and Cupra not popular? They look pretty cool to me.

I think both were fairly competitive a few years ago but have lost support of the fans as results have dried up.(realize this if from a Yank who barely sees any BTCC anymore due to lack of Cable TV in my present locale.)
Mainly I've seen posts here where there has been anticipation of the BMW AND the Honda, but hardly any mention of the other two. So either they drop all of the remaining cars this Quarter or they split the Two requested cars, and pair them each with one of the less popular brands.
This is a rather odd time for S397, they can only cover so many tracks per year, and that leaves huge holes in schedules for series like Indycar, IMSA & BTCC. With Bahrain coming soon, the WEC calendar is ALMOST complete. I'm looking forward @Frederick Alonso 's Fuji to complete the WEC track list(yes I KNOW there are Fuji's out there already)
Finally, I am quite happy with the new Knockhill so if more BTCC tracks can be add via 3rd parties, I'm not at all disappointed.

I think your logic is sound about the car pairings. I am in the U.S. so really haven't had exposure to the BTCC other than through Rfactor2. I have really enjoyed the BTCC cars in Rfactor2. I really don't have knowledge of the popularity of the different Teams/Drivers/Cars. I appreciate the insight.

Thanks mate, my Fuji will be studio level and has been sourced on 5 references to get the road data ;-)
I'm almost sure a laserscan will not be that much away of what I bring forward. It feels just realistic as hell driving it.

Anyway it's offtopic. I'm not a BMW lover but I was looking forward to this BTCC just for the fun of the rear :) Really happy with the news today (oh wait we are a day later now).. Modding keeps me buzzing :D

everyone I know loves the cupra. Even if it’s just a rebadged SEAT which is under all that: a VW Golf. Or polo. Can’t remember which way round it is.

Vauxhall have been around forever and there’s the nostalgia effect there. But the BTCC wouldn’t be the same without the Astra on the grid. It’d be like F1 losing Williams or McLaren.
 
can we have a FWD car with left wheel side, it's only RWD/left wheel side or FWD and right wheel side, can I have a FWD car with the wheel on the LEFT plz ?

I think the Power Maxed Astras are LHD, you'll have to hope S397 release that car.

Looking forward to trying out this BMW and seeing how it compares to the Infiniti, which honestly isn't my favourite of the BTCC cars so far.
 
Hello, I am wondering if there is actually brake squeaking in rFactor2 ? and is there an hidden option to increase the sound level of the opponents?

A fantastic car like the M2.
It's just a BMW❤
I still haven't hit the 50 mark at Knockhill.
But constant low 0:50:300 times are already possible!
It's only a matter of time.
But the BMW, just awesome!

Actually there is and it is fairly clear with the newer cars. There was a bug in the last update which made the brake squeal SUPER LOUD. But that was fixed and my BTCC cars all seem to have normal sounding brake squeal.
How many sound channels do you have in the Sound options. 255 is the max.
 
I'm having a little trouble getting the center mirror to move enough so that it is centered on the track behind. I can get it about 3/4ths of the way to where I would like it. I can see behind but just not the full view on a straight.
Also, when I moved the center mirror, the left side mirror moved as well, But then using the left side mirror commands, I could properly adjust the left hand mirror without affecting the Center.

Hello, yes 225 channels. I don't hear any brakes at all. strange
 
AI brakes very late, if I do the same I cannot make the corner. How to increase braking power, or is this a bug?
