Greetings, as the title suggests, a simple question. Is it actually possible to adjust position and amount of the pit boxes of a paid DLC track (such as Sebring, Nordschleife)? Without cracking and other eula-colliding stuff, of course. Thanks Greetings, Günther.
Yes, that is possible. The MAS Files, that contain the AIW File, are not encrypted. I have done it for the Nordschleife already, but since S397 increased the Number of Garages i now only offer an Update with an instant Timing here in the Forum.
Thank you for that information. A question: If I take a look into the AIW file, I see following: Code: TeamIndex=6 PitPos=(-1272.819,115.175,-1936.711) PitOri=(-0.004,0.793,-0.008) GarPos=(0,-1274.582,115.213,-1931.552) GarOri=(0,-0.001,-0.762,0.005) GarPos=(1,-1286.558,114.893,-1883.396) GarOri=(1,-0.026,2.391,-0.003) GarPos=(2,-1291.958,114.845,-1888.436) GarOri=(2,-0.028,2.391,-0.000) Does that mean that the "PitGroup6" (ore most likely 5, as it's 0-based) has a garage capable to take up 3 cars for a pit stop at once? Then I might not have to do adjustments at all for that track.
From the shown GarPos Values i would agree to what @Goanna has said already. To be sure, you can use the AIW Editor, where in the Set grid/pit/garages -> add garage location Menu, the used Garages are listed as "done" and the unused as "empty" (or "not required", if the Entry garagespots= is set to 2 or 1).
Wow great answer @redapg i did sth. similar, F.e. i created a completely new AIW for Circuit De Spa. (i made a AIW for the hidden cart track in spa at stavelot corner) It was done quick and dirty but it worked quite well and 397 designed this small cart track in the Spa track very well: What do you think? ... is it allowed to make a new AIW of a encrypted track. f.e. reversed and upload this trackupdate at steam workshop?
Here we have another Problem. If you upload such an Update (i think that also S397 will not complain if you create one) to the Workshop, it will uninstall also the Base Component, when you unsubscribe from it. So i offer such Updates for manual Installation only and tell the Users to delete the Folder with the Update by Hand, to avoid that the Base Component gets uninstalled too. But you could upload an independent Kart Track to the Workshop, with Credits for S397 of course , i guess.
I still do not quite understand - what will actually happen if in a given spot is a car - it will block the pit box completely and not give space for 1/2 additional cars? Like stacking to the left?
I mean to remember, that in rF1 you could do that (2 Cars on the Pit Spot, Side by Side). I would suggest to simply try it out with 2 human Drivers.
Indeed, I've read of people doing that in rF2 (or, occasionally someone not knowing to do that, and making a mess for other people trying to stop in the same place!) so that still works.
