I have seen the dicussion about the timing of the Nürburgring, where you have to drive a full lap, before the timing works. I have asked someone from our old community (Chris (redapg), that has made the online tools), if he could offer an update, that allows to use the shortcut that leads you back to the start, before you enter the Nordschleife. I was lucky, because he did create it for the 24 H track, for private use. He now have also removed the 4 right cones, that were at the entry of the corner back to the start, that we don't have to move them away. He has uploaded it on his website and gave me the link. UPDATE (due to the update of the base component to 2.20/21) Nurburgring24H_NES_Com_NOS_inst_timing_2.22time.rfcmp If the link don't works for somebody, please report it here. NOTE: To avoid any conflicts, you now should only have the following Subfolders in the folder: "..\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Locations\Nurburgring_2018": 2.202.21 + 2.22time (when the Update of Chris (@redapg) is installed). NOTE 2: If you want to uninstall this Mod, please delete the Subfolder of it by Hand, in the Folder "..\rFactor 2\Installed\Locations\Nurburgring_2018". If you uninstall it by using the UI, the base Component gets uninstalled too and the whole Track has to be reinstalled.
I just got a message from chris, that he has updated the common and endurance layout too. So all 3 layouts that include the nordschleife can use the shortcut now, to get laptimes counted from the first full lap. And i have seen, that he added a few cones in the shortcut too. The link in the first post is updated, just overwrite if it's asked.
Here the RFCMP https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zS3pZL0o3qOtf3OeUerry9VvQyGNNxh3/view?usp=sharing tested and working, so this can be easily used for servers as well. It's just a update for the official track (which of course is required). Just place it in the packages folder and install it. The version is 1.50.
If you had posted a request here, chris (redapg) had for sure uploaded his rfcmp too. It's never good if too many versions of the same thing fly around, it can be confusing, especially for newer rfactor users.
I reply to you here and not to your PM. There is no need to start a fight, you said he weren't able to create a RFCMP, i created that RFCMP and posted it here, i think it's clear that this is just called "HELP". If you see "help" as "stealing somebody else work" or "bad behaviour" as you wrote me, then i'm not going to mess with this nosense, really. Plus we are talking about editing a official track, so you should apply the same to the first edits of the track. There was a race today at the Nords and i showed this to the admins, it was not possible to start a server with this "fix" without having a rfcmp, in 2 minutes i packed it and posted here. It's called cooperation. But hey, who knows why modding in rFactor 2 is dead. Do whatever you want with that link, put it in the OP (as common sense and the spirt of cooperation would do), ignore it, or take it as a reference to create your own, but no, i'm not going to delete it, because you are simply wrong, and i don't think redapg needs a lawyer.
OK then, you should read carefully before you do or post something. He has nowhere said that he can not create a rfcmp, read the first post. And the point is, that you release a work of another person, no matter if it is a modification for official content or whatever, with a different update version number. I guess it is exactly the same content that he has created. So why do you change the version number? If you want to use a modificated version of chris' update for your league for example, feel free to create it and post it at your leagues website. What you have done here, is just disrespectful in my and also chris' opinion and also confusing because of the different version number. So again: show some respect and remove the link here. Chris will offer his rfcmp and i will link it in the first post.
Hi. It seems we have an update to V1.51 which means this fix no longer works. I am trying to avoid all the politics around who did what, (and when) but will this continue to be supported or should we do this on our own?
I have informed chris (redapg) and he will upload the modified update later today. I will inform you immediately, if he did inform me.
Chris (redapg) was quick. The first post is updated with the new link to download the 1.6time update. Please uninstall and delete the 1.5time update.
FYI, an official update for this may be coming. See here and following posts: https://forum.studio-397.com/index....-cs-racing-cup-2020.65209/page-2#post-1017423
Why is it so hard? This feature works on the unofficial Nordschleife circuit. Hope the update comes soon.
Perhaps it's more difficult to make it work with AI and if they release an official update that doesn't work with AI, some people will complain.
Chris informed me, that he has updated the rfcmp to 1.7time. He has added the instant timing for the Nordschleife layout too. When you leave the pitlane, where the pitlight is, there is a sign on the right side. If you pass that on the right, the timing starts. The sign is not collidable, to avoid that the AI, that has the garages near to it, crash when they touch it. The first post is updated with the new link.
