Indeed, it's because of the animated driver. I need to find a driver who is sit a little bit lower as I can't create a new animation myself. I will try to solve this issue in a future update.
No. 934/5 have more HP / weighs less / more rear downforce than 934. 934 have more HP / weighs less than 930. 934/5 is the fastest one, 930 the slowest one. There is also a kind of BOP: -between 930 & BMW M1 (when rev limiter of M1 is on 24h configuration). -between 934 & BMW M1 (when rev limiter of M1 is on sprint configuration).
A very nice review from peevee88 & simrace247, thx! Graphical & sounds update are planned for tomorrow btw.
Hi Arnaud, I painted a Porsche 956B Rothmans and it looked great. I used the original rF1 GTPC templates and I already had that car painted. One question: will the Region layers work with this mod? Thanks in advance!
Impossible right now as there are WCEXTRA textures used for the body of this car (and we cannot have individual PBR regions for WCEXTRA). Btw, there is already this car in WEC 1984 menu.
Thanks for the explanation! About this car, it has my name on both sides of the cockpit and this is the LeMans version. I was waiting for your answer to get the WEC car done with my name.
It can now, with material path defined, you can look https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/ibl-pbr-car-shader-assistance.64024/ in page 4 or 5 to have a try
yep, one material can with one PBR set, the same logic as material override but define as materialpath on gen file, you look through my post on that thread and try it. But can't be 6 colors for one material I think. You said the car have multiple wcextras for car body so I think it's the same situation as I researched on f1 mods
GTPC cars are already in PBR with material override (since june, thanks to your topic). That what I was thinking, you can't have 6 colors region for WCEXTRA, only WCCARBODY. In the Porsche 956 case, big parts of the body are WCEXTRA textures so that why I've said it's impossible to have fully individual region layers for this car. EDIT: Steam workshop update is available (mainly sounds edition on M1 & 930-934 + static pit crews)
yep, from the post I've tried to do that WCEXTRA with regions, you can see this f2008, it's combined with WCCARBODY, WCEXTRA0 and WCEXTRA1 to make the whole body, and is possible to do so, and the mp4 22 F2008's textures and look at these json files, all override one material and make it PBR, just add this MaterialPath=<VEHDIR>\F2008\mat in the gen file to point at the material folder path. and using material editor to do so simply like these in devmode 1. add MaterialPath mapping in .gen file 2. assign PBR (IBLCARBODYSHADER maybe) for those materials you want to in http://localhost:5397/materialeditor/index.html#/ (enter that page in devmode showroom or track ,you will see the materials and can edit it) 3. press save to dev when you done. just don't use carpaintor in dev mode I think. Hope you can understand that I've said, if any confusing plz reply. I've just come back from working so that can use my own computer to show you files structure.
I could be wrong here. You can set the WCEXTRA textures with PBR, but they do not have a working _region. That is reserved for the WCCARBODY. I'm also not sure how the raindrop_desc.json works with the multiple textures. 3DsimEd now has the shader built in where you can apply it from the model level. You don't need the .json. I haven't played around with that much to see if that changes anything.
My english skill is probably lacking but that's exactly what I was trying to explain. WCEXTRA have a json file for PBR in GTPC mod but you can't have an individual region working for each individual car on it.
finally today I was able to test at Interlagos - my usual test circuit - those new cars damn the physics of this mod is a work of art, one of the best historic cars on rf2 I recommend to use the manual clutch in the upgrades (with 2 pedals too - you need to lift trottle or gear does not enter -) the driving experience definitely improves -the bmw M1 is the easiest and most honest car. predictable and controllable in its reactions -the Porsche 934 at first approach is a difficult car with little rear grip. it has a much longer learning curve, but if you learn it it gives you a lot of satisfaction. it is difficult to be constant but being able to control it is a priceless challenge. it is my favorite car -the Porsche 934/5 has excellent power and excellent handling It is easier and more controllable than the 934 superb job guys!
OK, sorry I'm not english native speaker too, I finally got it and I've not tried yet to do so. Sorry about misunderstanding. And then I got a bad idea, only way to solve this seems is, to make it harder, every car entry have a specific gen file to point to their material path...... But not ok for other players to add skins outside the mod. Sorry again for confusion, my English is not good too...
