It's totally unrealistic, but the so advanced rF2 tyre model has no tyre damage due to low pressures (-5° camber will not damage anything, when using 110 Kpa cold pressure...this is quite funny) and delivers better laptimes and stability, so everyone, driving on hot pace is using it, because it has no harmful side effects.^^ It's the most known "exploit" in rF2...you can drive full stints with minimum pressure in basically every car in rF2. After 6 laps, the Supercup receives around 155 Kpa hot-pressure anyway, when starting on 110 Kpa cold pressure and temps are more dependent on throttle application, than anything else, also track temp doesn't matter. The workwise of temps and pressure in rF2 is totally off.
i love to drive the Porsche 911 up and believe in rF2 is best one. However I have a sort of injury in my right arm(kind of rsi). So I can't handle the forces when the car bounces. I use a Simucube 1 and my gain in the Sinucube software is already 50% and ingame .4. Can I adjust something in the json that reduces the forces when the car bounces?
handling isnt so raw and direct like other cars like BMW GTE feels old when driving eratic when turning to left or right not good responce
Yes, this is to be expected, the Cup is closer to a road car and actually lifts its front due to the wing + rear engine and the "road-like" front suspension, that takes away even more front bite. It will never turn like a purpose built GTE car, in no universe. Yes, this matches with many reports about the Porsche Cup btw. It has more driving approach of a vintage car, than a GT car. The Porsche Cup is known as this sh*tty machine, that you have to coast through the apex, open the throttle about 60-70% until it "settles" itself and then go full flat. You also can't smash the brakes in the Supercup version or it will lock occasionally. The Porsche Cup doesn't feature the most agile handling, even if it's a rear engined car, but this is also not the case in other sims. It's pretty likely, that it actually doesn't turn in like you know it from a GT3 car. And it shouldn't. It's a feeder for the driving fundamentals and way more punishing due to that.
i know its very dificult to drive also the camera shake isnt so good on this car i try many different setups including a good one i found in Race department suggested from a S397 developer or something
It's not just difficult to drive. It's a pain in the arse. You have to pay attention to everything. After managing to drive the Porsche Cup on pace, you will notice some habits, you carry over to GTs and they will help you a lot, that would be masked in the GTs by driving assistance and sophisticated technology.^^
yeah i drive it in Sebring and every bump is a whole nightmare movie last corner is the whole story of proffesional driving like trying not to oversteer and avoid brake lockup at the same time really hard to drive it
The last corner (Sunset Bend) needs the correct line, to not hit the crazy gearbox disassembling 2 bumps. Try to be a bit more to the inside than usual. You can also try the Endurance configs in the showroom for Sebring and Nordschleife, the car becomes a bit more confidence inducing, there then.
if i try the endurance setup is not porsche cup anymore correct ? i mean the magic is No ABS and NO TC
It's a Porsche Cup Endurance then, no Supercup anymore. It has a bit less power and an adjustable suspension/2 different sets of springs. And ABS... The Supercup on Sebring and Nordschleife is Boss-Level. I can recommend it on Adria and Nürburg Sprint with Supercup Config. But for tracks like Sebring and Nordschleife i see no shame in attaching some "extra" hardware to it. The Supercup will require way more attention to detail in driving and it will definetly will be WAY more challenging.
yeah i believe all i missing is spring managment to make it smoother but the fact that its not so pure pcaup anymore makes me feel weird i ll try to learn it as it is before i go to endurance mode
reduce tyre pressures to minimum, apply full diff preload, higher front ARB and lower rear ARB and put brake bias a bit more forward. Maybe it will help already. The default setup is also not my favourite, but the most significant factor is indeed the driving approach, that is very special for this car. It's the same with the Cup in R3E and even AMS1, which isn't even a true cup, because it allows full diff setup. ^^'
@CrimsonEminence tyre preasure at 110kpa transforms the car experience and feels soooooooo realistic now thanks for tip
Check pressure after 5 laps. If front is lower, which is much likely as Porsche is very tail heavy, balance pressure by adding to the front in the setup. Usualluy +10kpa in the fronts is a good approach. Also note that porsche has fuel tank on front axis. You get much more tail heavy on a stint. Low fuel make you spin out. Something what is not considered in any kind of bop so far (gt3, RSR) And to finish let me quote W. Roehrl how to drive a tail heavy porsche: as long as you are on the throttle there is no danger.
