This week promise to be a very strong & intersting week for all of us. 1st. : The big Update for KartSim = Tracks, AI and more. Original Text from the last RoadMap: "By now, KartSim is a well known name in the karting industry, known for high quality professional karts and tracks. They will be releasing a big update to all of their content. For consumers the next release will include updates to most of the existing karts and tracks with improvements to shaders, models, AI and more." 2nd. : Tommy is hopefully ready this week to publish his F40! Come on mate i want that car! 3rd. point & last but not least: RSS is this Weekend finally ready to publish there Honda S2000 Cup car! We all know the fine work from RSS (Porsche GT3 RS). I'm very excited to check this car! Keep it on Nick! This sounds really impressive & exciting or not? I've now spent 579 hours playing with rF2. And it's amazing how much this Sim keeps hitting the hype again! That’s really great! S397 keeps it up !!!
On the contrary! Nick and his team at RSS did an excellent job with the GT3 RS. In my opinion. And Tommy's quality should be clear after the TCR Mod at the latest. So I'm very optimistic about the quality of the guys . But why you have a bad suspicion? Let's see what it gives..
I can't wait for Kartsim especially, and the F40. However, I did not like the Porsche from RSS (especially the sound) and I would not try the S2000. I'm starting to get impatient about the next S397 cars (DLC or not), really. S397 cars are IMO the best cars on all sim.
That's true mate. Nevertheless I hope that the GT3 Pack (S397) will finally be fixed soon. It's frustrating! And the Coute d Azure AIW. Otherwise the GT3 RS (RSS) is a hit for me. But good tastes are different .
The F40 will be legit in the way that it will be scratch made by Tommy. However, the S2000 by RSS is likely not legit in many ways: They take the models from RealRacing and don't make any secret out of that (see their Facebook page). This applies to the Porsche as it does to the IMSA prototypes. Haven't found any reference to the S2000 source yet, but it's highly likely again a rip. I believe that RSS does a good job on setting up the models and things...if they would just invest their talent on models from legit sources (i.e. scratch made models or purchasing the models incl. the proper licenses/permissions).
After the release of the IMSA Mod and the Porsche GT3 RS, both of which I think are great by the way, I am very excited about the Honda S2000. Whether these cars originally come from another game and were modified for rF2 is not so important to me personally, as long as they are worth driving. If you complain about the origin of the vehicles, you basically have to complain about many mod tracks, because many of them are also conversions from other games or simulations.
This is really a very good week for rF2. We can now grab the S2000 from RSS. And we get also the update for KartSim (Hopefully today). I'm already looking forward to the improved AI. As for the GT3 update, that's a very nice surprise. Thanks again to S397. (I realize that you will fix everything over time.) Unfortunately the street version of Tommy's F40 is not yet finished. For this he created a very strong F40 LeMans Mod. But I don't have these, because I already have so many racing cars that shouldn't dust in the garage. How did you find the week so far? Can go on like this or not?
The kartsim pro software is sadly too much expensive, for 1150 euros, for the EU pack you have 12 tracks, and 3 karts.....with rF2 Kartsim demo and the 2nd DLC you have 2 karts and 6 tracks for 35 euros..... They should sell the tracks only.....
