I email him about something similar a while back, he said rather than querying the database on the fly, he'd have it set to a static table which self updated once a day to save load on the server.
Well that sounds like a good idea. Is this static table available now for download from the site, or is it something still under consideration? If it's still under consideration, are there folks out there that would find this useful?
what laptimes it saves? only those where i finish session or ? it uploded old time... 1sec. slower than my PB on lime rock with skipbarber regional... before upload i rendered new file for upload.. ?
SevenSmiles' script pulls all laptimes from the "all cars and track.cch" (iirc) file and all others with the same file extension from online sessions etc, and creates a career.blt file containing all the best laps from Practice, Qualify and Race sessions. It doesn't matter if sessions are finished or not, it just saves the best laptime. When you upload the career.blt file, the rank site looks for any new records, and any faster laps than the ones you have previously uploaded, and adds them to the database. HTH
I couldn't remember and had to check, it pulls all laptimes from all the .cch files in UserData\player so that's all the best laps from Practice, Qualify and Race sessions for all offline and online races. (And @hoover wrote the script, I just fiddled with it a bit and made an .exe)
then why it dont upload 1.00.09 but uploads 1.01.09 i made file with little program in players folder createfile.exe career.blt
Upload your .blt file here and let me know your I'd number for the rank site and I'll have a look when I get home later....
Oddly enough, I've just noticed the same issue... No entry in the "All Tracks & Cars" file, that 1:17.xx was from an online practice yesterday.
I've noticed a few times don't get upped occasionally. I usually try it again, create file, then upload again. I may try the original script again. Both work great, but I knew the author of the original.
Just run another couple of laps and the "All Tracks & Cars" file now has an entry for the car/track combo. Another bug to add to the list
Wow! I didn't know about that program. 2006! It seems to produce the same results as the current one but doesn't filter irrelevant stuff out so career.blt is 5x bigger in my case. To say it another way, that just joins all the all .cch files together whereas the present one filters all PLAYERTRACKSTAT records. Neither program does anything to the contents of the PLAYERTRACKSTAT record so if times are not being recorded I think it's either rF2 not writing them or rFactor2 Rank is not using them. I think @Dave^ is saying it's the first.
The original was written for rF1. rF2 kept the same file structure. When I run your Createfile, I get 169 files with 171 records found. So something is found, but not written to the career.blt. Dave Purdy created the original create career.blt
A lot of PLAYERTRACKSTAT records don’t have times in them, the newer script ignores those. I assume rFactor2 Rank must filter career.blt as well.
Not sure if this is the place for track requests, but... - I see we have Riverside International Raceway (Short) as a new track, can we get the long version too? - Lakeside Park V0.26 (in the Steam Workshop) is a wonderful short track. - Don't know what the policy is on paid content, but Sandevoerde-65/67 by Sergio Loro (www.f3classictracks.com) is a great track and to my mind is ideally suited to any 60's or 70's vintage formula car (including the F1 Legends Racing 2.0 cars). Also, Brands Hatch GP new (BRANDSGP) is in the track list, but I don't know where to find that track. Could someone point me in the right direction?
Copy/Paste the text from the results page after you've uploaded your career.blt file and i'll get them added.
