Sounds good to me, I'll drop you a message at the weekend.
Added a few cars and tracks today.
Sonoma Raceway (Indycar Layout)
Oulton Park (Fosters Layout)
If anyone knows of anymore which aren't on there yet, post them up in here (along with download links/workshop links) and I'll get them added.
Apex Modding's 2012 GT3 cars added...
Tweak requested by @Dave^, new version uploaded that opens rF2 Rank in your browser.
Added a few more tracks at the weekend...
Anneau du Rhin 2016
Albi 2006 (All Chicanes)
And the Tatuus MSV F3-016
I can also tell you, the most popular track is Sepang, the most popular car is the Mégane Trophy, and the most popular combo is the Mégane Trophy at Malaysia (North Loop).
Good work Dave. I was wondering who uploaded those tracks.
I'm trying, but it's hard work with the amount of content.
If you've got any cars or tracks which aren't yet on there, copy and paste the contents of your career.blt file in here and I'll get them added.
I need to ask Uwe of there's any way to store the uploaded files temporarily to give me a chance to download them so I can see what's missing.
Thanks for working on this, Dave^. I don't see entries for either F1 1975 Historic Edition nor the Lola T290. Hope this helps.
Can you copy/paste your career.blt file here (the bit near the bottom telling which cars/tracks aren't there)?
Saves me having to download them and run laps to get the correct names etc.
A few more of each added today:
Bahrain International Circuit 2014
ASR Formula 1991 / Honda Marlboro McLaren
ASR Formula 1990 / Scuderia Ferrari SpA
BMW 320T GTO
The naming of some mods is a bit "unconventional" to say the least, it's not always obvious which car is which when going from the name/description in the Steam Workshop when compared to the naming of the files.
At the end of my career.blt file, I don't see a list at the bottom telling which cars/tracks aren't there. I did find and entry for "F1 1975" and for "F1 1975 LE" and "F1 1975 LE SR". I'd guess LE is the League Edition.
As for Thurxton, I found an entry that says "TrackName=THRUX" and another that says "TrackName=THRUXTON". I can see how this is not a trivial pursuit. Thanks again.
I have a "1975" in mine, think it's the Brabham....
And a "ZZ" which is the VW FunCup
We'll get there eventually....
Does this help? I have a program which extracts information from the car and track data files I have installed.
[Edit: looking more closely there are quite a few missing where several cars or tracks are in one folder]
It can't hurt!
I know it's not cool to ask, but how are getting on with your launcher?
It's slowed by finding more corner cases like I have just done! Reverse-engineering is never straightforward
Don't hold your breath, I've been working on it (here and there) for months!
Just had a quick look at these, thanks again.
I could probably create a fake user account, create a career.blt file with 99:99:999 laptimes to work out what's missing/needs adding, then delete the user & spurious laptimes.
Next weekend's task I reckon!
ETA - The car names in your csv don't match what the Ranking site sees unfortunately.
EATA - Tracks look good to go though - nice one!
When you upload your .blt to RaceRank, the resulting page will show which tracks/cars are a mismatch.
Unknown Car classes
Everything in my .blt I've added as needed, unfortunately I'm too much of a n00b so I don't have many entries in there.
Here's my list of unknowns after I load my .blt . Most of them are so cryptic as to be totally useless! Some of the cars are 917s with added skins. Didn't think that would make a difference. I know many of the tracks aren't in the Workshop.
Unknown Car classes
Porsche K.G. Salzburg 1970
David Piper Racing 1971
Watkins Glen 6h 1970
1991 Mazda 787B
Ferrari 312/67 Ferrari 242 3.0
Zitro Racing 1971
F1 1975 LE
CLASSIC GROUP G
Caterham 7 1.4 K-Classic
That's great, thanks.
Should be able to get some of those added this weekend.
