the earlier sunrise i ever saw in real life was 5:20 but it was way less lighter that this
which means that even at 5:00 o clock its dark out there
Depends on where you're living. In Germany, (official)sunrise is @4.40 in the summer and even @4o'clock it is not really dark anymore. Ok, I'm in the most northern part of Germany, but I think in Zandvoort would be not a big difference. But Greece is nearer to the equator and sunrise is later even in the summer IIRC.
@Juwe Lahann i live in Greece
i never saw so early sunrise even from an island at the top of the mountain
must be earth position then or something
Also the latest sunset i have seen must be something like 21:15 but i dont really remember
Oh, OK. Here it is something like 21:45 in summer (Germany generally) but in the north, we have still some light @22:30
Edit: i saw that you live in greece and edited my first post, but you were too fast with replying..
I was in Greece for a few months in summer more than 20 years ago, but I was young and can't remember exactly, but I was surprised about the early sunset in southern europe.
some light at 22:30 ......wow
its pitch black here at that time
19:00 it's dark here. Down south they get to 20:00 during DLS though, 22:30 would be annoying trying to get the kids to sleep hey.
Imagine you would live in northern Scandinavia/Russia/Canada/Alaska (in summer)
Exactly, the more north you go, the longer sunlight you will get in summer and the shorter in winter, due to the geometry and angle of the earth relative to the sun. Here in Finland it never gets dark during midsummer season.
Looking at the GDB, Zandvoort event date is defined as 26th June, which is pretty much peak sunlight time of the year. rF2 has ways to calculate the correct sun position given the coordinates of the track and the date of the event.
Here there is a graph withe the sunrises and sunsets in Zandvoort
I am from Russia, Moscow. Sun goes up too early now and my dog trying to wake me up at 4 o'clock
S397 pls fix it
What has this thread turned Into,!
@LokiD sunrise and sunset is part of track 24 hours circle
so we are still on topic
Am I the only one that doesn't really care about that.
That's not the attitude I know..
Why is the tarmac purple?
because of the rain, the purple rain
Possibly something like this is going on
P.S. it is awesome how rF2 uses actual ordinates to simulate the time of the daylight.
