I for one appreciate your fine effort and am more than happy with your creation . Thanks
For reasons that I do not know, sometimes tracks layout get split up in the list. I once had Matsusuka split in three! Unsubbing and resubbing doesn't seem to fix it though (for me at least). It took a fresh install to correct the listing error.
Are Filip and filippu the same person with multiple personality disorder?
Ok, I'll have a look again. Yesterday I saw only three layouts.
It often comes down to a naming conflict between tracks with multiple layouts. If one track has a Full, short, and Long layout, any other track that starts a layout with short or long or full will cause the sim to double up. You have to look at each track and EACH individual track to find the conflicts.
Laser scanning makes the track more precise, but will not necessarily have a better finish. You can make a spectacular freehand track and one created from laser scanning that looks bad.
I have the feeling that some people think that the laser scan "creates" the track alone, by magic, you scan it and you already have it. It's not like that, it's just a reference on which to build.
see ACC Nurburg. Laser scanned but the kerbs seem to be all wrong...
This information is very valuable. Thank you!
I suspect this may be linked to the track splitting being talked about above. You might the other layouts somewhere else in your track list.
Yes. that's right. So not really an issue, only a little one.
They're all me. Me, myself and i.
Latest Zandvoort Update:
- Added basic weather files to all layouts
- Added Medium rrbin for the GP layout
- Removed 2 legacy SCN from the GMT folder
- Removed legacy RRBIN files
I'm getting v0.35 with 2 entry's.
First in the list with the East layout.
Last in the list with the other layouts
SS, check out this post from Adsta in another thread
Yep saw that.
I think that's one of the reasons why they just released an update, it was just to let Christopher Elliott know, that it isn't fixed yet.
I'm assuming most of these split track errors are caused by various layouts within a track having a similar name as layouts at other tracks.
I would suggest an addition to the mod pages. A track name index. Collect ALL the tracks and ALL the sub-layouts and list them in this index. Kinda like a Wiki...anyone could add to it....then track makers and devs could consult the index to minimize conflicts.
added note....I don't know if this is still in use, but GTR2 used to only look at the first 7 letters or so. This would mean a track named Pancake would conflict with a track named PancakeandSyrup. Might be worth investigating.
Separate names with a comma.
