I have good news for all of you, i've solved this.
I've skipped THE VERY FIRST step from the modding tutorials and was hard to notice because from the start to reaching the test drive stage it's a 3 months gap in my case.

Thanks to the ISI most brilliant minds, there is an extra log file created in the main directory (where the launcher is located)called "pmodel_error.txt".

In my case this file says "Body 1 must be named"
I've forgot to rename the material to WCCARBODY :p

So be advised, if your PC explodes when you are testing something, check this extra debugging log.
Thanks again ISI, for your smart move.

When modding probably you get more of this, a tip, try alt-tab and you see the window with the error message directly, like "Body 1 must be named" or "cant load xxx.dds texture" etc.

Thank you mate for your suggestion ;)
I now remember this behavior since rF1. Because of this, is better to work in Window mode and sometimes as you say, the message box may appear in the background.
But in this case rfactor 2 mod mode just crashes without warnings, and was very suddenly. Not with the usual pause before freezing.

So if rf2 crash suddenly like that might be another issue than a mod issue, i suposse of course, OR is a windows vista/7/8 behavior, because has you know rf always warn you with those messages, now i have windows 8 and the message dont appear firstly, i must run task manager select rf2, then select "bring to front" and just then the message appear, hope i can give you a hand since we are "paisanos".

I know what u mean, also I'm used to this behavior from rf1. But I was talking about a crash to desktop.
For example, use the rTrainer PM file in a car with a different geometry and you would see how rFactor CTD instantly without message boxes showing errors :D

    Un abrazo paisano ;)

Yes, i talking about CTD also, and for the change files like PM, look, i made somes "tests" with files from here and files from there and rf2 dev mode seems to "eat" those without a problem.

    Cheers.
    Abrazo!
