I tried this mod in buddh circuit. But, Alfa Romeo is too fast on straight. Alfa is 10km faster than any TCR cars on the back straight.
So how is the Peugeot and physics/FFB update going? These days test a lot this cars, amazing with the car but with 1.3 updated FFB is slightly boring feeling..
Alfa has different turbo, because it has a smaller engine than the other released cars. So we slightly modify the turbo to match with other cars. I check all previous cars base setup to make sure there is no mistake on the base ride height like on the Golf, and check all other settings as well, and my friend came back so hi is working on the Peugeot right now. I still don't know what should i do with the ffb. The first version was too strong and clipping for some of you, the new version was a bit lighter and no clipping which was good for some of you and too light for others. So the only thing i can do is add some more options to the upgrade.
Yeah, happy to see you and your friend back to work for this, just simply add back some rf2 style ffb and slightly increase the base torque may be good, it's already a good mod now, hope to be better~ And a small request, can you add some special skin, like huff in macau special livery~It's beautiful It's just my little hope, if have no time just ignore my word
And I found something interesting in Tommy78's updated blog/website. First, the new design of blog looks great! and for this new model, hope we can see in rF2 soon! You are one of the best modder of rF2 tommy!
Thanks mate, yeah i updated my site in the past few days, and yes, this is the new car which will be available in rF2.
All electric car with energy recycle system like fe? If done, must be great~ S397 done that system for fe gen2, I don't know weather moder can use this or not.
I will do two version, one electric and one standard (petrol) engine, so if someone doesn't like electric things they have option to use the petrol version. Of course if i can implement all electric features.
Thanks for your comment! Now I could understand why alfa is different from others on the straight. I think FFB is good at the moment. There is no problem. So, thanks anyway!
Current version: v1.4 Release date: 2019.12.06. Release notes: - added new car P308 GTI TCR (finally this is the last in this mod after 14 month of full progress, and 3 month of rF2 progress through 4 update) - fixed VW Golf collision issue - fixed VW Golf rear base ride height issue - really improved AI rollover (not 100%, but most of the time they are good) - improved BoP, closed the performance gap between the cars - updated FFB upgrade system, now you have again the old system with 11 option, and the new system with 11 option as well, the range starting from the lightest, which is the Soft (S3-S2-S1), then the Medium (M1-M2-M3-M4) and the Hard (H1-H2-H3-H4) the torque range between 15(H4) and 40(S3), so hopefully you can find the best option for your steering wheel Enjoy! You will recieve the email shortly.
Thank you for provide so much settings and with the old one the traditional rF2 style come back. I'm still trying all cars, seems the 308 new and old FFB are reversed.... The old one feel like new and new one have a little torque steering feel; or both not.... I'm trying my best to compare 308tcr's ffb and to find whether it's my mistaken or not , other cars are OK and old/new FFB feel huge differently, it's more fun to drive and now I just need to find a most suitable setting for me. And hope for your next excellent job!!!!
Your so called "fix" of the FFB issue is only hiding the issue. You reduced the max steering torque output. That is the same as if i reduce the ingame FFB multiplier. Consequently the oscillating FFB is hidden as the effect isn't that dominant anymore. But now i don't feel the FFB during cornering. I still think the issue is in the suspension. I never had any of this hight torque oscillations in any other mod. Maybe you should take a look at the physics of the BTCC mod. With these cars i can run 100% FFB without any ocsillation issues
Maybe tommy can ask NGMT's andy for some advice? I think he like this mod and may willing to help. I think in 1.4 it's drivable but there is space still for improvement.
Tommy built a McPherson front suspension, like they are in real life TCR cars. The NGTC cars and the mod uses a double wishbone suspension. That's one of the major differences. I am not sure how good the rf2 physics can simulate a McPherson suspension. For myself and testing I modified one of Tommy's cars and built in a double wishbone suspension, and yes the feel becomes similar to the NGTC mod. But, as said before, that's not what TCR cars have. Anyway, with the update 1.3/1.4 and the options in the tuning menu, I am really happy with the feeling and it's one of my favorite cars in rf2 (using fanatec DD2 at 100%, options setting on soft, FF multi at 0,35)
Which setting did you use? Old or new one? I think the old is more like traditional rf2 style like civic btcc and ngmt btcc.
