[REL] WTCR 2018 by Tommy78

Is there a server online? One with Macau track would be amazing :D

Another thing i realised, is that the opponents sound is very loud, i barely can hear my car. Just a bit lower opponent car sound would be a nice fix...

You can change the opponent volume in the sounds menu

Did a quick check, and I believe it's the first word of the class definition instead of the last o_O
Please note that you have used "WTCR 2018" which gives the classes WTCR and 2018. You would probably want to use WTCR_2018 to have it a single class (makes it easier for AI field filtering too).
The problem is not that one, you can see in the filter the WTCR and 2018 as well, but I have an idea, i will try today.

I had a look at the suspension in devmod and i saw that tommy tried to rebuild a McPherson suspension behaviour with a multi-link suspension which in general i find a very nice idea. Maybe thats the reason for the strange behaviour of the steering/ffb
You are right. That's why it looks like that.

Anyone who feel strange the steering just one thing, please try to change the damper and spring settings to zero in Windows, under your steering wheel settings, and after try in-game.

@Tommy78 maybe you should update photos, cars and version already released from the first post. Besides, it would be nice to see where and how the driver can get the mod. ;)
Yes, i know, it's always in my mind, but i do a lot of things at the same time and always forgot to update the first post. Thanks,

First off, these are some of the best WTCR cars in sim-racing, let's get that straight off top. Combined with Rfactor 2 FFB it's sim racing heaven. I've been driving these cars since I got 1.1, especially the Audi. But, in version 1.2 the tire wear is a little excessive, which cause the tires to heat up rapidly. This causes the cars to slide all over the place, and that's about 4 to 5 laps around Nürburgring GP. This was not present in 1.1. Other than that, I am a happy camper with the attention to detail on all other levels. Thanks again Tommy78 for your hard work! Rfactor 2 needs more modder's like you to push it forward!
The v1.1 tires the same then the v1.2 only the Honda in v1.0 used a slightly different tires.

At first you should correct toe in on the front axle and correct it to toe out. I have never see a car with that setting. But correct we when i am wrong.
Has anyone driven this car with a DD wheel or high torque wheel on 100% and was able to hold the steering wheel straight at higher speeds? For me at a certain speed it starts oscilating and i barely cant hold the wheel. Reducing the force only reduces this effect but also reduces normal effect strenght while cornering. I suspect that if the toe is allready incorrect that there could be something terrible wrong in the suspension in general
You were correct about the toe out. We used wrong settings, but of course you can change it, but the default is -0.1 I will change this on the next update.

Yeah my idea was correct, so now its working. But i had to delete the space as well betveen WTCR and 2018 to see this class in the filter. But on track i had to use the "DisplayClassOverride" line in the upgrade.

@Tommy78 I know you said it before that these tires are made for sprint races. But is it possible to get a harder (additional) compound which lasts at least one stint on the Nordschleife? This would be great for VLN races. And again thak you for your work it's a great mod so far :)

Great to hear that! You should still be able to add additional classes there, if you like. For instance you could add the car brands. That would allow additional options to configure AI field.

Endurance upgrade packages will be coming after all cars released, which will include endurance tyres, and extra lights.

Sorry Tommy, are you going to fix car LOD since it seems quite heavy?
I already struggle on running a full field of Seat Leon Eurocup and one of the reports here seems to suggest there is a problem with LOD, I am on the fence to donate but I am worried I wouldn't be able to run it and would be a shame to miss such a masterpiece

I will try to optimize the lods distance in the gen file, will see how much i can improve on performance. It will need more test to find a good balance betveen lods.

One would be to exclude mirror relections instance out of the car and only include it in the cockpit instance. Why should i see the mirrors reflections of my opponents

Nice, you can put photos from the other cars too. Another suggestion is to change a bit the Golf's Tail Light to a tone more red. I'm a Golf owner and it looks like a little bit orange. Besides it's a great job on it. Now I'm ready to buy the full pack.

Worth it mate!

I used this video, to create the Golf rear lights, and on this looks a bit orange to me instead of red.
