Tonight I've tried the WS 3.5... Watching the default setup I found that slow rebound is softer than slow bump...should we work on setup maintainig the default ratio? Up to now I believed that the rebound should be at least 2/3 higher than bump...
I'm not an expert when it comes to setups, but what I have come to notice is that bump and rebound do not necessarily fit neatly into a formula. I have learned to use bump and rebound specifically to tune car to help getting around the most troublesome corner on individual tracks. Example; say, you have a right hand corner that is real severe on oversteer and you can't get around the corner faster without loosing the rear. Then add a negative click to right rear rebound, also you may need to add a postive click to Left front bump. But again, this helps most after you have camber and castor in best shape on all 4 wheels first. The bump and rebound is usually the last thing I touch.
Until the tyre model is complete and the entire physics are finished, I'm not bothering tinkering or trying to understand the car setup. I think anything you work/find out now could possibly be wrong or irrelevant come the full release. Sorry wasn't able to answer your question directly.
I do not know what the actual and the same performance of the damper of WS3.5 of rFactor2, I happened to find the manual, if you see formed a setup while helpful to you? http://dc242.4shared.com/doc/qZl8MRoV/preview.html http://dc182.4shared.com/doc/Q37ssxeQ/preview.html
