Hi guys, i have just changed my GFX to GTX 770 OC from GTX 660 OC, and what i have noticed is slightly worse performance. I dont have any specific benchmark results, but on GTX 660 oc i had steady 180 fps on SPA. Now with the very same settings i have about 150-180 fps. It cant be related to any GTX 770 oc failure since in other games and 3dmark i have much better results.

Any idea what can cause that?

    My spec:
    i5-4670k
    msi z87a-g43
    gtx 770 oc
    8gb kingston hyperx
    500w silentium psu

I have also changed drivers to 337.61 beta

The drivers then? Go back to the previous ones and see what you get.

Did you uninstall drivers , reboot , cancel driver install, swap cards , then and only only then install the driver. ?

or..... did you come home pull out the 660 dropped in the 770 and boot it up.

180FPS at Spa I have a GTX670 OC and 4.5GHz 2500K I get no where near like that at quality settings.

Only thing comes to mind 1. you botched the driver setup OR 2. you are comparing different settings in rF2

Brand new 770 OC deserves a fresh OS every time anyways.

    He asks a fair question.

Getting lower fps at the same settings anyone would be concerned.

I thought I made that obvious, getting excited don't help.

As I said, he has obviously overlooked something.

I love doing OSes on thumb drives and 3 mins backups with TrueImage

    Go back......

Do 2 fresh OSes with the 2 cards and attain correct baselines. :)

Would take me a few hours.
There you will nail down what caused this.

Then in future stick to the same regime.......... invaluable. ;)

Nvidia gave that number because people have some noname psu's which have low efficiency. Actually gtx700 with all other staff consume around 350W under stress

ALso silentium is a great psu with very strong 12V line

Yeah they definitely over state the psu requirements, how would you run quad sli and a 5ghz cpu with 32gb of ram plus drives, fans, pumps etc. Do they even make a 3000w psu? Biggest I have seen is 1500w I think. But if you have a cheap psu you can rely on it to fail you, have you checked what the card is doing while rf2 is running, because it may be that the settings that you were using before are not heavy enough to be triggering the boost clock on the 770, I have had this happen with my 780ti. So try higher settings, bizarre as it seems. Failing that:

DD is probably right, you should have removed the drivers, deleted any leftover nv stuff, uninstalled the hardware in device manager then shut down and swap. Then install the latest driver. I would recommend you do that now as though you had another brand new card.

Yep have checked how it works wih rf2 and its doing as in Tomb Raider, so works as it should. 99% GPU LOAD.
I did how u explained at a first time, then get back to older dirvers i used to have with GTX660. Still the same. It must be related somehow with rf2 since all other games works amazing. 3dmark11 scores are normal too: graphic score 11470. Can play TR with all maxed 2XSAA and 50 fps avarage.

Dunno, maybe rf2 is not well optimised for gtx 770?
