Hi, i need to fix an issue: although I have tried several times to do the unlock procedure with the server key, and accessing the download from the steam workshop with my credentials (therefore not anonymous), the ModMgr does not detect the presence of the track files (.rfcmp components) in the Packages folder. I repeat, the files are there but they are not detected by the ModMgr management program.
I hope someone has the solution, otherwise I have to take the files already installed in another PC with the game and put them by hand in the Installed folder of the server, which is rather inconvenient.

Check if the Modmgr has the correct paths.
    • Working Dir: ..\rFactor 2
    • Packages dir: ..\rFactor 2\Packages

Got a screenshot of your packages folder showing the track files that aren’t showing up in mod manager?

    I don't understand, sorry.
Do you see the packages in the ModMgr or not?
I ask this because in the screenshot of the ModMgr there are some rfcmp and rfmod

I suposse that you are referring to Spa, that doesn't appear in the ModMgr.
When this has happened to me, has been because the rfcmp was corrupted.
Try to upload it to the server in other way.

They take up gigs of hard drives unnecessarily

Because... if they are running a server.... the packages need to be there so others can download them when joining. Their own hard drive space is also not your concern. How about not being so rude?

It's a server. If he needs the autodownload function, the rfcmp and rfmod have to be in the Packages folder.

Edit: Posted at the same moment :p

Exactly, it's a dedicated server and need .rfcmp contents. Yes, the problem it's Spa, the download seems to be well finished, I don't think is depending on it, but I'll check it agani.

Try to download it again. It has happened for me a couple of times. Once with Sebring and once with Spa. Curiously it worked previously, but suddenly it wouldn't show up in ModMgr. Downloading it again fixed the issue.

On my server I use SteamCMD to manage servers, the string I use is this:
    - steamcmd.exe +login USERNAME PASSWORD +workshop_download_item 365960 ITEMID validate +quit
Do someone knows some tips to ensure the best download procedure?

Did you just overwrite the old, or put it in a new folder?
