I have an asus 23" monitor and no matter what resolution I use, I get text overlapping text on almost all UI screens, no list fields are occupied even though I have 20 cars and tracks installed. cars list is empty. There is an HD UI mod download by Riff at RFC. and it looks fantastic. maybe ISI could buy it and incorporate it in thier next build. as bad as I want it, it's to complex for my PC skills to install.
I'm getting the feeling maybe you don't have the cars and tracks installed, and they are only in Packages folder. You put downloaded components into the Packages folder. Then run the rF2 Launcher and select Manage Mods. That opens a window where there should be a list of all cars and tracks you have downloaded. Place your mouse pointer over one and Right click on it. That opens a drop down box. Put the mouse pointer over Install and Left click on it. That will install that car or track. Do that for all you have and then they will be listed in the game's UI hext time you run the game. Hope this helps
This video shows how to install components. The part you really want to watch starts at the 1:40 mark to the end. Of course you can get the mods he points to in the beginning of the video.
When I first installed rF2 I had overlapping fonts and such. I searched and searched and couldn't find anything on the forum then finally found a post about your windows desktop settings. If you have enlarged the fonts on your desktop it messes up rF2 UI. This could help you. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/2060-Disarranged-text?p=40141&viewfull=1#post40141
Man I feel dumb for doubting ISI. after driving rfactor for 5 years I should of known the issue would be on my end. My apology to the people that tried to help. I was having a problem with seeing more than a blank frame when I tryed to use win 7 resourse manager. so I went online and found out that my text size in the desk top image resizing window was set to high ( 200x) so I set it at 100% and now I have a resourse manager and nice perfectly formated UI in Rf2 along with full listings in list view. but very tiny desk top icons, oh well.
