@Tuttle @Marcel Offermans Im on my 6th car adding rain FX. I have run into quite a few inconsistant issues along the way, but usually manage to sort it out. This time I don't know why it's not working. My issue is that the inside windshield shows the correct wiper ARC but the outside is incorrect. The outside looks like the UV mapping is wrong but my mapping for the inside and outside are the same. I actually only mapped the outside then cloned the outside fliped the faces and applied the inside materials. So the mapping should be identical. This is a screenshot of my UVs inside and outside sitting ontop of each other. It shows chnl2 mapping 4 objects selected. windows in, windows out, windshield in, windshield out. Here is my material settings This is a screenshot of the inside (Arc looks good) This is a screenshot of the outside (You can see the ARC at the top of the windshield) Any idea what is causing this? Im sure I have done the same proceedure on all cars. I have also found that after I package a car up it then crashes dev. Before starting the rain FX I comment out the mas files with //. To package the car I remove the // from the mas file line. After packaging I add the // to the mas file line but now the car crashes dev. It's happened on every car I do. Any help appreciated.
There is allready a thread about this issue. You even replyed to it . Here is the solution https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/rain-effects-on-windscreen.59533/#post-937537
That doesn't work for me. I really believe there's something wrong with dev mode. I had cars that worked fine before the rain fx in dev but after they dont.
Hmm that's bad. I really hope that @Marcel Offermans @Luc Van Camp @Tuttle @Christopher Elliott some devs whould have a look in the modding forum here and could help a little bit with the unsolved problems
Not sure if you have noticed In the tutorial when doing the the carbody the left is blue right is green but the windows say left is green right is blue. I would have thought both same sides should be the same colour. Left one colour right the other.
Has anyone successfully used blender with GMT plugin to correctly get the wiper effect working. Im having same problem as @Nibiru but it could be that i simply dont know how to do it correctly in blender if i cant even be done.
I haven't used blender so can't help BUT If the inside is working for you then you have done it correctly. Does blender let you export the wiper.anm?
Hi Nibiru, I dont know to that extent if it does. ive only borrowed the C6 corvettes for testing. Both inside and outside have same problem where the wiper arcs dont line up.
I just heard from someone else who was having this same problem, he said max 2012 was messing up the second uv channel, so he did it in 2010 and it worked fine.
Thanks Coutie I use 2012 so that will be it. But there are no 2010 plugins or did he use the 2012 plugins in 2010?
