Will ISI look at an alternative to matchmaker ?

That dreaded message at random 'Could not connect to matchmaker' for rF2..

Just browsing the web and it seems many other games using this same service, are also having issues with matchmaker.. I'm wondering if ISI are looking at a better way, through web browsing for example, that would avoid using matchmaker.

I'm forever restarting servers that at times can run for days / weeks but then other days are 2-3 times a day..

Probably not. But they have stated that when when rF2 goes gold they will have a backup matchmaker so there should really be very rare circumstances where both the primary and the backup matchmaker are both unavailable.
While in beta, there is no backup matchmaker so these problems can occur more frequently.

That's nice to know.. I guess when you see something like BF3 where they can view players in a server, the server details al little more, and then also being able to click on it to join within the browser.. Something I'm not sure matchmaker has..

In saying all this, I have found the problem regarding the dreaded 'Could not connect to Matchmaker'.

Joining from a link I think was possible in rF1... It could be with rF2, also. I did mention it to the devs early on.
