Why the sound from official content sucks? and why no Windshields?

You know what is going to happen don't you? S397 will create a new shader for the windscreen and THEN folks will complain about the milky sheen on the glass(or the 'not glass).

If they not over do it, it will be ok. It can be really really subtle. Or just little cues instead of changing the opacity.

Probably some form of Polybicarbinate plastic stuff that is lighter than glass. It would depend upon the series rule though. I would not be at all surprised if glass were mandated in many series.

 

In fact, it is. There are touring cars where you can't change a lot of the original parts of thecar (console, windshield, windows, etc)

I like to have some dirt and interior reflections on the wind-screen but, it has to be subtle and dynamic based on lighting conditions to be effective. Sometimes it'll be more obvious, while other times we may not see it at all. I think AC does it pretty well.

Such effects should always be optional imo.

 

Optionalism sucks. Though perhaps makes sense for LOD B

 

I would indeed wish S397 add stronger down/shift sound. ISI cars had clear shifting sounds. Its just more satisfying than hearing the engine change revs but barely no shifting sound. Especially downshift.
