    Yep. That is exactly right.

I was simply talking about the history behind the term Mod. The meaning has evolved but I still think "package" would have been a better term. Internally that is the term used for a mod. For example you will find this file on your disk created by the MAS tool: AppData\Roaming\pkginfo.dat. But the community likes the term "mod" better.

    I see it a little differently .

This is how I see it should be .

Mod = Single car or track .

Components = Files that make up a Mod . A component has always referred to many parts that make a single object , a Mod in this case .

Series = A combination of cars and tracks .

So instead of a vMod we would then have vSeries .

The term rFMod would refer to a packaged car or track .

Updated files for a Mod would then be a rFComp .

Then that would make a package of cars and/or tracks a rFSeries .

Surely this is less confusing terminology .

I've always referred to a single car or track as a Mod but my history only goes back about 8 or 9 years using rF1 .

Oh, jeepers, I think my wife called me a mod once. So what your telling me is that she was saying that she just didn't know what I was?

I thought "mod" meant module as in an .frmod file.

So, doesn't really matter what they name it because everyone will call it differently anyways :)
