Yes, rF2 is getting better and better, but we're still having CTDs in the 3 leagues I race in...why? - It happens on 32 bits exe. - It happens on 64 bits exe. - It happens on low end computers. - It happens on high end computers. - It happens playing the game windowed. - It happens playing the game not windowed. - It happens with no more that 10 drivers on line. - It happens with up to 40 drivers on line. - It happens with skin transfer off. - It happens with skin transfer on. - It happens with all setting LOW. - It happens with all settings HIGH/FULL. - It happens...welll IT STILL HAPPENS...for no apparent reasons...or, better saying, for unkown reasons and in the most diferent situations...anyone, please, has a clue on how to STOP CTDs??? Thanks.
Build 860 is very crashy. At our last race several people had CTD issues. When I load up big tracks almost certainly I get CTD when I go on it the first time. Every time I exit rf2 it crashes. Every build readme says that CTD issues fixed. Yeah, right.
Indeed Guy..I only wish we had an official answer from ISI, after all we have paid for this wonderful sim... I'm not the only one... in each and every league it happens to around 30% of the field, to diferent guys, to people that never had it, to people that ever has it...
They did tidy up their code in one of the latest builds. Maybe that has something to do with the stability issues. I don't care too much because it never happened to me on track (but I'll rage if it does). Would still be nice if we could get that sorted soon. Most of those crashes freeze my keyboard and mouse input so I have to reboot which is very annoying.
Only time I had crashes with rf2 is when I didn't allow it to install to default locations ( c drive ) Now I just allow default install & all is fine since
I've never had a CTD yet and I havd data on a different drive. Maybe because I have 16GB of ram and a 2GB card? May also be worth noting I have a totally clean windows install, just rF2 and drivers. Power settings set on high, all sleep timers off. Are your CTD's always online?
Had several CTD with rF2 and now moved onto AC until the next rF2 release which will hopefully fix the problems. 17hrs on AC and not one CTD.
I had CTD's on earlier builds, mostly when I was overambitious with how many AI cars I wanted to load. 64 bit corrected that for me. Then I had two or three crashes in online practice, no biggie. This build is however the most stable for me yet with zero CTD's, off- and online. So absolutely no complaints from me.
FSR had league race last weekend with 3 races and nearly hundred drivers participating, with no CTDs reported to me. The first question to ask when any CTD happens, are any plugins installed? If so, have you tried without?
No plug-ins , my friend, ...as I said, I race in 3 very well known leagues...all of them are having CTDS...it's not only me...in fact sometimes I'm one of those feew that DOES NOT CTD! ..but they're still there, for no particular reason, they just happen...with ISI contents, non-ISI contents, URD mod...Megane mod...
